John from Kentucky:

--- Quote from: Musterseed on December 26, 2017, 04:17:09 PM ---Luke 17: 21.  The Kingdom of God is within you.

Matt 16:28  Assuredly I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death
till they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.

Could someone please explain the Matt 16:28 scripture for me. Thank you,,,,,,Pamela

--- End quote ---

On the mountain, Peter, James, and John, saw Jesus in His glory; His face as the Sun in full force, His eyes as flames of Fire, His body exuding brightness.  That is how He is described in other places in the Scriptures in His glorified state, and how He will look at His return, in His Kingdom.

Musterseed:
Mine eyes have seen the Glory of the coming of the Lord, Glory, Glory , Hallelujah , this song just popped into my head with the description. Thankyou John

Wanda:
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I  thought Jesus was telling us that some people would still be alive at his return, hence they would not taste death until then, because we all have to die, either before or after his return.

It is not what we think Scriptures say, but where the Spirit of God guides our understanding.  Only a very, very small few are given understanding at this time.

The Scriptures never truly contradict.  Matt 16:28 only says some would see the Son of Man come in His glory, not that they would be there literally before they died.  See.  The three did See Him come in His glory, in a vision.  They were not really there at His literal coming, which is yet in the future.

God does not lie, nor does His Word lie or contradict.  "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts."

Wanda:
Thanks for your reply John.
