All we can do is plant the seeds and in time if God will's it to be it will bear fruit.  As much as I loved Ray he didn't teach me anything.  God was the one that opened my ears/eyes and Ray was simply the messenger.  Several times I had read different articles that Ray authored and didn't 'get it' until one day I did.  God was the difference of course.  Glad you could share with her and that this time she didn't reject it out of hand.  Progress!!

Heidi:
"Wrong again pale face,.😔  They reacted with so little emotion, I might as well have told them it was going to rain today. So much for that love for Jesus."

Wanda, a similar thing happened to me when I shared it with my sister.  She looked at me as though I just told her what I had for breakfast.  Just no hint of recognition of the amazing revelation.   It brings me back to Ray saying that if your blind, you are blind and cannot see.....until God opens your understanding.

I remember being disappointed because like you I was humbled and remembered thinking, wow, that's my God!  That's why I love him!  He is awesome...etc

Rom 11:33 :O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!"

Yes Heidi, it's a shock to realize this was all in Gods plan and unless he wills it, nothing we say, no matter how wonderful it is will get through. It became clear to me after I looked back to all the miracles Jesus performed, and yet the people did not believe in him.

John 12

37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,

40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

I never stop wondering, why God has given me this gift. I hope I can remain humble and thankful, because a life without God is one without meaning, hope or purpose.

Friend Dave,

Thanks for the helpful testimony.
And thanks to all those who shared their own understanding.

We have much to appreciate and enjoy and share with one another.
