Conference meeting via Zoom

(1/3) > >>

Rocco:
Is there any interest in scheduling a Conference Call using Zoom? They have a free app and would allow up to 100 participants at a time. I watched my granddaughter use Zoom for a virtual classroom with her teacher and classmates and thought it was pretty cool. If there is enough interest and with approval from Dennis ( Dennis or his choice would moderate) this could be fun. Feed back please

Dennis Vogel:
I don't have a problem with it but I will most likely not participate.

Just make sure you have the latest version of Zoom. They have recent security issues.

Prune Soleiado:
Hello Rocco,
Could it work from France? I am interested in this zoom conference but am afraid it wouldn’t work from this coin of the world? You surely know better I guess...😅

Rocco:
I'll have to look into it. I just heard about Zoom in the past few weeks, it's gotten some bad press because of its owned by the Chinese, but so is about 90% of everything else we use. There are also some issues with security and hacking. I'll register an account and you can too and we'll give a try. I'll get back ASAP
Thx

Rocco:
Zoom is worldwide, seems similar to skype. Free to sign up using your email & date of birth. Once you get an account we can pick a time and try it out. Let me know via email rhyde2020@gmail.com when you get it set up. The meetings are 40 minutes max for 3 to 100 people. But just 2 people there is no time limit. Is France just one timezone? You can let me know which town in France via email. I'm in Sacramento, California. (US Pacific time) I'm setting up a world-clock app on my laptop as well.
