Comfort for my sister
« on: December 12, 2020, 12:43:41 PM »

Hello dear family, I pray you are enduring these struggles and trials.
It’s very difficult . Please could you help me , I need advice.

Yesterday, my 42 year old nephew hung himself. So tragic.
His mother , my baby sister , is  totally gutted.
She has had a very hard and abusive life.

I know this is God’s will for my nephew and that he is sleeping
until resurrection, but how do I comfort my sister who has no
understanding of scripture.

Over the past year we have had discussions about God
and how He works. God has blessed her to not believe
in hell and she believes that there is a God , so this is very good.

When I use scripture, she gets very frustrated so I would like
to speak to her about the whole plan of God .
This morning I was reading the LOF pt D4 Gehenna fire judgement.

Ray writes about the meaning of repentance and in plain language
he explains what God is doing, changing humanity from what we are
to what He is. I think when my sister is ready she may want to ask me
questions. Do you think this is ok and also can you suggest a little
more of scripture written in laymen’s terms that my sister can understand?

Can you please say a prayer for my sister, her name is Karen.
I love her so much . Thank you and may God Bless you all .

In Christ
Pamela💕

Hi Pamela,

My heart goes out to your sister and I will pray for her.  I can only suggest that you be there as a listening ear for her at this time. Her grief is enormous and she could use some help in shouldering the pain. Just do the best you can and be gentle and patient with her.

I'm very sorry once more for you and your family Pamela, and I agree with Rene'.

I'll be praying for you, your sister and the rest of your family. God help you all.

Prayers for your sister. I’m sure whatever you share God can use in His way. Is now 1 year since I lost my wife and has not been easy in my relationship with God. So many questions without answers. I’m sure God has a plan but is difficult for me to see it. Your sister is not alone in these struggles.

Thank you so much for your prayers Dennis. I feel so blessed to have
this place to come to .

Rhys, I think about you often. I remember how shocked I was when
I heard about your accident . I think I had become complacent and
a little too comfortable in my thoughts.
I realized that I or my family could be taken at any time and  every time
we drove anywhere I thought about you and Shiela. I knew I had to
pray Thy will be done nevertheless. Thinking about the resurrection
and seeing all of our loved ones again really helps, I try to visualize
the joy, happy tears , smiles and pure love for our Lord. The more I
read Gods word and the LOF series and all the threads here in BT ,the
more my faith increases. This journey is so very hard. I used to always be
walking on eggshells but it’s getting so that I can pray They will be done
knowing I could be praying for the Will of my Father to take me or one of
my loved ones. He has already separated all of us , took our grandchild,
is now putting all of us through many trials, especially my husband . I know
we have to depend on our God for absolutely everything. It is sometimes
unnerving but it is through much tribulation and well, you know the rest my
dear brother. I pray for you and all my BT brothers and sisters, I realize how
blessed we are and so thankful that we know that God will raise the dead.
I told my sister last night about all of you and your prayers for her. She is
Very thankful. She told me that she had been asking God  to take away
her sons physical and mental pain and said although she meant for him to
be happy and healthy for once in his life , she now realizes that God answered
her prayer . The more we talk about the resurrection, the more she believes.
I think God is working with my sister more and more . I pray He is. There is a
scripture.Paraphrasing,,, Our love for God controls us. Thank God .
