Wish You Well
« on: August 25, 2006, 10:15:50 AM »

Hello Ray,

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to send you a quick note and let
you know I am praying for you and all those who are able to meet and
fellowship with you next weekend. I wish I could be there, so may God bless
you all.

On a very minor side note, I wanted to let you know how amazing it is to see
God's truths in a different light now that his Word has been revealed to me
through your writings. I have always thought that the 'free will' doctrine
never made sense if you believe God is always in control of everything in
the universe. As I was reading my 4 1/2 year-old stories from his Bible
this evening, he chose the story of the man who was blind that Jesus healed
(from John 9). The teachers ask Jesus the reason for this man's
blindnes s--whether it was for his sins or those of his parents. As you
know, of course, Jesus' response was that "Neither hath this man sinned, nor
his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him."
That, to me, was a great revelation of God's causality in why this man was
blind from birth. It was as if his whole life was purposed to bring glory
to God through Jesus' healing of him and was, to me, another great example
of how God's plan was demonstrated yet again. It is amazing how differently
the scriptures appear when read from the proper, God-intended, context.

Thanks again for your work and gifts,

Bert
