I’m doing everything I know to do to help lessen it. I can’t get into the doctors for a couple of weeks, and I’m not looking forward to medication.  I don’t have any obvious symptoms. I guess I’m asking for prayer, healing , and advice if you have tried anything alternatively to lessen your blood pressure. Thank you for any help and all prayers.

Hi octoberose,

Here is another Dr. Berg video that I can vouch for concerning quitting the use of sugar in your regular diet.

I began several years ago and lost 30 pounds over about 2 years.
I feel much better now and have much less joint pain from arthritis.
And was able to stop taking expensive Celebrex for the joint inflammation.

Note: it is not easy the first couple of weeks because a person is addicted to sugar just like a smoker or other bad habit.
So prepare for the challenge by stocking up on lots of non sugar, fresh foods of your choice to keep you from cheating.

Dennis Vogel:
My two cents: I don't have any joint problems and I give taking vitamin D for the last 40 years all the credit.

Bob could not be more right. Sugar is poison. Stay away from the sweets and carbs. That's what Ray did when he had diabetes and was grossly overweight. In one year he lost all that weight and he was able to stop taking insulin!

I thought I posted yesterday but it didn’t go through .  I appreciate the concern - I had cataract surgery this week and I was afraid of another BP spike but I did ok ( cataract surgery is a weird experience ! )    I do well on a low carb diet - not so well when I go off of it .  Gods spirit of self control would be my next prayer request!    And I hold everything in - feelings , disappointments, self recrimination .  That probably doesn’t help .

Hi October,
It may be that some will not agree with me, but I am confident that I am correct in the following advice.
It is natural for a woman more than a man to listen to her feelings and let them guide her.
It is also natural for both women and men to struggle with disappointment in life.
However, self recrimination although natural as well, is a burden we need not carry, because all of our mistakes and sins against man and against God are taken care of by the Cross of Christ.
=
We are not here on earth to learn to do better and become more perfect so that we qualify for the gift of life.
There is absolutely no thing that we can do to better our chances for life without end with God.
It is not a matter of chance.
The gift of life has already been provided for ALL, each in their own turn.
=
Therefore recriminations are a waste of time and effort and only lead to a poorer opinion of ourselves. That is not uplifting or beneficial or the will of God.
What our struggles do provide us eventually is the recognition of our helplessness and need for God to make us what God wants us to be ALL by God's power and determination.
So, do not worry one little bit about any past, present or future sin that has been troubling you, just let it go.
=
Of course we do our best daily to show our thankfulness to God for all God's blessings, but that is enough.

When our Lord Jesus returns and we are resurrected, HE will give us a NEW and Perfect heart of love and willing obedience that we could never achieve ourselves. No one but Christ ever has...!
