Deu 28:1 ISV “Indeed, if you diligently obey the LORD your God to carry out all his commands that I’m giving you today, then the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

It appears we will be the BEST country of all in terms science, technology, sports, music and the likes.

Not that we WILL be the best country, but we WAS. Ray explained Deu 28:1-3 in his towers paper.
As I said in the other thread - I think America is currently going through the second half of Deu 28 (starting from v15).

Why do you assume the question/comment was about the USA?

I have to say, I am confused by this part of Ray's Tower paper:
"And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord your God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command you this day, that the Lord your God will set you on high ABOVE ALL NATIONS OF THE EARTH.
And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall hearken unto the voice of the lord your God. Blessed shall you be IN THE CITY..." (Deut. 28:1-3).
Israel was NEVER "...on high above all nations of the earth !" And why was that? Because Israel could not "hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord." Their greatest glory was under the rule of Solomon who turned into one of the worst idolaters in Israel's history. Oh they meant well:
"And ALL the people answered together and said, ALL that the Lord has spoken WE WILL DO. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord" (Exodus 19:8).
But before the ink was even dry on the paper of their promise, Moses told Israel this:
"Gather unto me [Moses] all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
For I know that after my death you will UTTERLY CORRUPT YOURSELVES, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because you will do evil in the sight of the lord, to provoke Him to anger through the works of your hands"
(Deut. 31:29).
So, if ancient Israel, historic Israel, and today's State of Israel, was not and is not, "above all nations of the earth," then who is above all?
America is, and New York City is the "center" of this Nations great power and wealth.
How can America be "on high above all nations of the earth" if it didn't “hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord your God, to observe and to do all His commandments”? Since America’s inception, it has been fighting wars, murdering and enslaving people, and teaching false doctrines. God plucked me out of the world in 2004, and it has only been within the last five years that I have begun to “hearken diligently" with all my heart and with all my soul to observe and do all his commandments.
Is not this the nation above all nations on earth:
1 Peter 2:9
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Extol:
Ralph, I disagree about the blessings being exclusively spiritual. Don't you think it is a blessing to have enough food to eat, and a place to live (even if it is New York ;))? There are numerous verses in the Bible which show that things such as children and food are blessings from God. Here are just two:
Gen. 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
2 Chronicles 31:10 And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the Lord hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.
I agree with Ray that America is the Israel of today. It is popular to criticize America, but it clearly was founded as a Christian nation, with founding documents heavily influenced by biblical moral principles; and not coincidentally, it became the most prosperous nation (the most "blessed," you could say), as well as the most advanced and accomplished in many ways.

Ralph,
Was king David a man of war? (1 Samuel 16:18)
Did he kill/murder people?
Did he sin against the Lord?
Did God still bless him abundantly?
Ray asked this question in the paper:
Does the fact that America is the greatest defender and proponent of Christianity in the
world have anything to do with the fact that it is also at the very center of the world's
trade and wealth?
You can draw your own conclusion, but at the end of the paper, he also wrote:
There was a time when there was more right with America than there was wrong with
America, but that can no longer honestly be said. I love this country, and my roots here are
as deep as anyone's. On my great grandmother's side, Joris Jansen De Rapalje and
Catelyntje Jeronimus Trico De Ralphaje are my great, great, great, great, great, great, great,
great, great grandfather and grandmother.
Ray obviously didn't think America was that bad all the time, God did bless America with wealth and put America high over all the nations of the earth. Wall Street is still the world’s #1 financial center (for now).
Some statistics from 2010:
The United States has the largest Christian population in the world in 2010
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_by_country)
In 200-year tradition, most Christian missionaries are American.
The United States sent out 127,000 of the world’s estimated 400,000 missionaries abroad in 2010, according to Todd Johnson, director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts.

Phil 1:18 What then? only that in every way, falsely or truly, the preaching of Christ goes on; and in this I am glad, and will be glad.
========================
On a side note, I just think it's funny that Ray mentioned this year (2023) in the paper:
In just a few short years it will be 2023, exactly FOUR HUNDRED YEARS since Joris and
Catelyntje sailed to America to find freedom. That's a long time.
Is this a sign or what? ;D
