Remember my son in your prayers
« on: September 04, 2023, 01:55:44 PM »

My youngest son has broken out with these severe hives from head to toe, and we've had to call the ambulance for him twice now. He is back home, but they want us to call the ambulance again if his condition worsens, as they have an EpiPen on standby in case he needs it. He is also sick with the flu or some nasty cold with a sore and swollen throat. Most of us here are sick with the same flu/cold, as it's that time of year.

I've been staying up keeping an eye on him as he sleeps, and I just wanna cry when I look at his pale body covered in red hives everywhere. When he is awake, he says he is fine, even though he can't stop scratching and coughing at times.

My wife and I are weary and tired, and you can imagine how that could affect our interactions with each other.

Very sorry to hear about your son. I know what you are going through, bro.  I have a child as well, and we had a scare last year when she became severely dehydrated from the flu and had to be rushed to the hospital.  I will remember him in my prayers.  God be with you all.  Much love.

It’s so difficult to watch our children suffer.
My heart aches for you and your son and family
Porter , I will pray for your family.

The hives have completely cleared up! The doctors are thinking it was something he ate within the last 24 hours, so we are taking note of all the things he ate. Thanks, everyone!

Just logged in to BT and saw your posts; so thankful to God that your son is okay; sooo scary when it comes to our children and not knowing what is causing their illnesses/allergies

My daughter had this happen to her as a child and in college .  It turned out that rice was a trigger for her and also activity.  I’m so thankful for you all that he is better.
