Begging for prayers
« on: July 16, 2024, 01:32:21 AM »

Dear forum members in Christ.
I write this after weeks of contemplation, shame and hesitation.
I'm here to sincerely ask you to please pray for me, Satan has not only wanted to wither me, he succeeded. Yet, I know that our God is merciful.
My heart is heavy and I beg God for deliverance and restoration day and night. I know His perfect plan and will is in motion, but I'm growing weary.

My trials are no greater than any of yours, but I'm faced with heavy burdens which ever way I turn. My fruitless attempts to do what are too stalking. I pray for true repentance and to trust God not only in words and heart, but for my life to be truly transformed.

It seems to me that everything truly went downhill from the time I got married. My husband was a flimsy believer then, but open to listen and hear about the hope that was in me. I soon discovered that his family and by extension he was into other forms of worship (sacrifices for the dead etc.) It seemed not bad at first because it was their own dead, but it ran a little deeper than I thought.

At first, I just stood in support of him, not really approving nor participating. But that was enough and I'm sure you can figure out the rest of how that went downhill.

Bad things started happening, despite my resolve to hold on to my faith and all I'd believed for decaded EVEN better the promise of true salvation for all and all I learnt when I was pulled to Bible-truths.com.

Long story short, believe me this is the short version, I've fought and battled storm after storm. I refused to fold to directions I was being pulled into and that took all my strength until there was none. My family, being similarly wired in the traditions of men all abandoned me too. The adage here is you fight for your marriage to the very death. Dennis is right, the forum was all I had in terms of meeting like-minded believers and I left. My reasons don't even matter anymore.

Currently, I'm going through court cases, my child who is gentle in disposition has been a continuous victim of bullying in schools and this time I threw a fit because he badly injured. The school decided to take legal action against me for bogus harassment charges and aterminated both my sons who are on all accounts model students. My lawyer and the department of education feel there's not much to be concerned about, however I'm still disturbed and my health taking a strain.

We are submitting paperwork again today and I ask that your heartfelt prayers are with me.

Thank you in advance,
Matty

Praying for your endurance, Matty. Jesus will finish the good work He has started in you. Just a little while longer, and He will make a way out of the temptation, I just know it. As incredibly difficult as these trials are, they're very precious in perfecting us.

I too hesitated in writing this, as I thought it might be too forward or presumptuous. However, you sounded like you may be at a breaking point, so I just wanted to let you know, as a fellow partaker of Christ, to grab a hold of Christ tightly.

I can relate Matty.  Trial after trial.  It seems like there is no rest.  Every day something new to face. But God doesn’t leave us helpless or lost.  There is comfort, edification, counsel in the Word of God.

1 Peter 4:12-14
12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

1 Peter 4:17
17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Psalm 34:19
19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Let us be prepared and comfort one another:

1 Thessalonians 5
5 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Much love to you Matty and may God give you strength and peace during this difficult time.

UPDATE:

So last week one of the 2 cases that were opened against me were dismissed by the court. There is one more pending and I ask that you continue to pray with me. My kids were also finally accepted into a different, promising school. Thank you all for offering what no amount of money can buy, fervent prayers to our Father.

I'm also asking that you please stand with me in prayer for return to full time employment. I need nothing short of a miracle after years of applying and praying.

May the good Lord continue to be with you all and meet your needs too.

With grace and gratitude,
Matty

Greetings and blessings to you all.

I thought it only fit to update you on these matters. Both cases are finally dismissed/withdrawn and over and done with. Thank you all so mightily.

Hey Wendy

I've hesitated to say this for a while , but I think for the first time in my life this forum since 2008/9 really taught me a lot of things, greatest of all is how two or more, when in agreement, God listens. May we continue to pray(together) without ceasing. Why, because The Master is faithful even when we are not faithful. Thank you.

Good news Maddie, Our God is awesome.

Hebrews 13:15….Through Him, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise
to God, that is the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name.

Isa.56:6….and the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, to minister to Him
to LOVE the name of the Lord and to be His servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it and holds fast My covenant ,7.. these I will bring
to My Holy Mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer; their burnt
offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be
called a house of prayer for all people.

Now that’s some really good news . Our children will have awesome lives in the
Kingdom of God as will all people. Indeed let’s pray without ceasing for wisdom
and endurance and boldness in the Day of Our Lord…. Jesus/ Jehovah.
May God continue blessings on us in His Holy Name. What a beautiful name it is.💕
