The most repeated phrase in the bible
« on: August 14, 2024, 10:08:29 PM »

I found this on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dollsrealway/video/7384349118254140702?

Probably not the King James but do you think it's true?

That looks like the NIV translation. I couldn't find that exact phrase 365 times in scripture, but when you take into account variations of it like: "Neither let them be afraid", "Fear not", "I will not fear", "Let not your hearts be troubled", etc., then yes, it's repeated quite a bit.

This is the same question asked on the website Quora . But yes ,as Ralph said there
are many variations.

As for “ don’t be afraid “ there are 48 verses.

Apparently it is the most repeated command in all the Bible with all of the different
variations.

“ and perhaps the easiest to fail” ( paraphrasing a commenter)

Paul says,” don’t worry about anything “
Have any of you reached that far yet?or at least feeling confident and content?

Hi folks,

I cannot say that I am no longer afraid at times.  :(
=
However several years ago God gave me the understanding that God is micro-managing everything. It is all scripted to work out exactly as God planned from the beginning.
=
God leaves nothing to chance.
God does not see into the future to learn what will happen.
God causes everything to happen according to His pleasure.
So Paul's admonition to not worry about what I cannot change was God's gift to me.  :)

I agree Bob, but if it's one of your children fighting for their very life it's next to impossible not to worry.

I was struck not with just fear, but terror these past couple of weeks. So the timing of this thread is, in my case, interesting. All I know is, if God doesn't want me fearful, I won't be.

Joshua 1:9….. Have I not commanded you. “ Be strong and courageous.
Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with
you wherever you go.

I agree , it’s most difficult when it’s our children suffering ,but we have the privilege to know and appreciate and understand that it’s temporary. The many
do not.  My heart aches for all who believe they will never see their loved ones again, it’s cruel , but it’s necessary. Porter, I experienced great terror and fear before ever picking up a Bible or coming to BT. I was not searching for God.
Thank God for dragging me through this process of experiencing evil to His Son,
Our Lord and Saviour. It was the most frightening experience and very painful
and difficult to even begin to explain. It was a spiritual awakening for sure.
I have been trying to understand the spiritual realm more and the scripture, as
He is, so are we in the world. Exactly what does that mean… in the world? Of course
we have to be obedient to Our Lord and Master, but what else is there connected
to ( as He is) Ray said “ the spiritual realm is more real than the physical” .
Can anyone here describe what that means, there is not much discussion about
this and why, I don’t know except of course it would be Gods will as all is of God.

It would be interesting to know of any specific examples of spiritual experiences
as we go through this process of enduring while breaking down. I hope I am not being to forward but this as He is so are we is very much on my heart and mind.

You fool, snakes and hypocrites teaching offers us great insight into, as He is.
And today I will read Acts again because we are to imitate them as Paul imitated
Jesus. I want to learn more about this boldness the apostles possessed after they
were converted, they rejoiced to be beaten  ;D.
Something else I would like to know about is Job 14:12…. So a man lies down
and rises not again , till the heavens are no more he will not awake or be roused
out of his sleep.
I know this speaks of the resurrection but what does the heavens are no more mean? Are these heavens the elect? There is so much going on in this present
evil age and I’m wanting to understand more of this spiritual stuff.

Anyway , it’s a great time to read Deu. 7 in our Bible and also Jobs trial in the Myth of free will
Pt. C.

I think this scripture says so much about what we have to endure and how we overcome.
Job 1:21-22…. and said” naked came I out of my mothers womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave , and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name
of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly ( with wrong)

Phil.1:6….. and I am sure(confident,as I know you are) of this, that He who began a work in you will bring it to completion at the Day of Jesus Christ.

It’s very difficult my brothers and sisters, I cry for you and love you so much.
Please remember ( as He is, so are we in the world) our beautiful Lord suffered
so much for us and for all humanity and He overcame all this wickedness as will we.
May God bless you all. As Ray once said… “ God didn’t raise no pansies :) hang in there, He’s coming.

I’m sorry I went on . I have had an unusual summer. A houseful of unexpected
family members. It was a great experience in human behaviour of which I am
thouroughly engrossed. Thanks be to our Lord who works all things after the counsel of HIS OWN WILL. caps mine .

In Christ, Pamela

Short and to the point. I like that friendofJC. I was just thinking, how can I make what I want to say short? So here's my short version. :)

Pamela, I think "as He is so are we in the world" is saying we will walk where He walked, we will do what He did, we will say what He said, endure as He endured and we will overcome the world as He overcame the world; all within the invisible spirit realm of heaven.

Joh 14:12  "I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.

If John 14:12 doesn't give me faith, then I am still dead in my sins. However, if I can believe, then He is raising me to life and I will see Him as He really is, even before I phsically die.

I can and will have pain, fear, anxiety, depression, pressure, stress, regret, sickness and sorrow in a world designed to bring these negative things into the light so I can see and feel them so I will know He is Lord. But inside I genuienly believe God is doing it for my good. I just gotta wait it out and hope it doesn't harden me to the point I blame God. I'm somewhat sad to say, but I think it will break me at the cost of all the desires of my heart.

Job 14:11,12 sound awefully similar to Revelation 21:1.

Job 14:11  As water disappears from the sea and a wadi becomes parched and dry,
Job 14:12  so man lies down never to rise again. They will not wake up until the heavens are no more; they will not stir from their sleep.

Rev 21:1  Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea existed no longer.

Ray taught on this here: https://bible-truths.com/lake9.html

Jesus could live "on earth" and "in heaven" at the same time! But carnal men live in the heaven of their minds all the time. Man's heaven is a place of spiritual delusion; whereas God's heaven is a place of spiritual enlightenment.

"And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the EARTH [of man] and the HEAVEN [of man] fled away; and there was found NO PLACE FOR THEM... And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. And I saw a NEW heaven and a NEW earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." (Rev. 20:11, 16 & 21:1).

It would be mind-boggling enough to think that the entire UNIVERSE could "flee away," but it would be quite another to then suggest that, "there was found NO PLACE FOR THEM." That would be absurd if taken literally. ALL THESE THINGS ARE SPIRITUAL! In the white throne judgment there will be no more a place for the flesh, for the carnal mind, for man's heaven. There will truly be no place found for them. They will be annihilated in God's "CONSUMING FIRE" (Heb. 12:29 & I Cor. 3:15)!

God will give man a new earth and a new heaven, and as for the great sea of carnal, God-defying humanity, "...and there was NO MORE SEA."

------------------

The Kingdom of Heaven is sometimes referred to as the Kingdom of God.

Luk 17:21 ...the kingdom of God is within you.

Whatever rules or reigns within you, rules you from within. Like when Adam disobeyed God when he obeyed the voice of his wife Eve, of whom Adam said of Eve: "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh" (Gen 2:23). We can see this was a type of the spiritual condition of our heart, because Eve was in Adam and they were one.

Rom 13:14  But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.

Eph 2:3  We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and by nature we were children under wrath, as the others were also.

Col 3:22  Slaves, obey the lords according to flesh in all respects, not with eye-service as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.

As Ray always pointed out from the Scriptures, first the physcial, then afterward the spiritual.

Eph 2:14  For He is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In His flesh,
Eph 2:15  He did away with the law of the commandments in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.
Eph 2:16  He did this so that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross and put the hostility to death by it.

Remember, Jesus calls us His flesh (Eph_5:30), and in His flesh He did away with "the law of the commandments in regulations", which is another way of saying, Jesus set us free from from the law of sin and death so we could obey Him and live now, rather than obey our flesh and die a second death in the lake of fire.

Rom 8:1  Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus,
Rom 8:2  because the Spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Rom 8:3  What the law could not do since it was limited by the flesh, God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending His own Son in flesh like ours under sin's domain, and as a sin offering,
Rom 8:4  in order that the law's requirement would be accomplished in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Now can you see how as He is so are we in the world?

1Co 15:45  So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit.
1Co 15:46  However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
1Co 15:47  The first man was from the earth and made of dust; the second man is from heaven.
1Co 15:48  Like the man made of dust, so are those who are made of dust; like the heavenly man, so are those who are heavenly.
1Co 15:49  And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, we will also bear the image of the heavenly man.

It really is all one. We just gotta believe the Scriptures, but not by man's wisdom, but by comparing the spirtual with the spiritual.

So what does that mean, as He is, so are we in the world?

1Jn_4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Maybe it's the same as this:

Joh 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

God's judgments come in the form of tribulation. When we believe God's trials and tribulations are a manifest token of jugment, then we can have peace, because we know He is dealing with us as sons and daughters.

If you're asking specifically what it means by "the world", then to me that means "the way of the world". Strongs and Thayers Greek dictionaries say something similar.

Strongs:

κόσμος
kosmos
kos'-mos
Probably from the base of G2865; orderly arrangement, that is, decoration; by implication the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively [morally]): - adorning, world.

Thayer:

1) an apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order, government
2) ornament, decoration, adornment, i.e. the arrangement of the stars, ‘the heavenly hosts’, as the ornament of the heavens. 1Pe_3:3
3) the world, the universe
4) the circle of the earth, the earth
5) the inhabitants of the earth, men, the human family
6) the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ
7) world affairs, the aggregate of things earthly
7a) the whole circle of earthly goods, endowments riches, advantages, pleasures, etc, which although hollow and frail and fleeting, stir desire, seduce from God and are obstacles to the cause of Christ
8) any aggregate or general collection of particulars of any sort
8a) the Gentiles as contrasted to the Jews (Rom_11:12 etc)
8b) of believers only, Joh_1:29; Joh_3:16-17; Joh_6:33; Joh_12:47 1Co_4:9; 2Co_5:19

Maybe it's just me, but that word "adornment" and "decoration" is somewhat telling and hints to the following verses. Interestingly, Thayer's second (2) definition also cites 1Peter 3:3, which, as odd as this sounds, makes me doubt that is what it's actually talking about. Nevertheless, here are the verses.

1Pe 3:1  Likewise, wives, submitting yourselves to your own husbands, that even if any disobey the Word, through the behavior of the wives, without a word they will be won,
1Pe 3:2  observing your pure behavior in fear.
1Pe 3:3  Of whom let it not be the outward act of braiding of hairs, and of putting gold around, or of clothing, garments of adornment,
1Pe 3:4  but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of the meek and quiet spirit, which is of great value before God.

Contrasted by:

1Jn 2:15  Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
1Jn 2:16  because all that which is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1Jn 2:17  And the world is passing away, and its lust. But the one doing the will of God abides forever.

It's all about phsyical works and outward appearance with not only the world, but especially with the Church. They worship Him in vain with their flesh and with lies. We are called to worship Him in spirit and in truth with meekness.

By the way, there is no need to be sorry Pamela. Discussing these things can be edifying for us. I mean, I always learn new things when members ask questions, because it inspires me to seek answers.

Porter, thanks for always putting so much effort into your responses to my
questions with all the many scriptures of God’s word. You use your five talents
very well . ;D We are on the same page regarding the heavens as man lives in the heavens of their own minds and of course mankind has a carnal mind and it has to
go, be destroyed. You have a knack for taking my thinking process and making it
Orderly with the scriptures. My thought processes are a bit messy at times and need help putting the scriptures together. I love how our Lord works all together for good.

From the Myth of Free Will pt.C… Job charged God with all the evils that came upon him and God said Job spoke the truth and was right. Job had no free Will in any of this. God was in total control and God was responsible for all that happened. God
caused Job’s uprightness; God caused Job’s downfall. God caused Job’s restoration
and blessing. He will do the same for all humanity with the exception that our blessings will be spiritual and eternal , not just physical and temporary as Job’s were.
Job’s spiritual blessings will come when the heavens be no more( Job 14:12).
The book of Revelation tells us precisely when this event will occur in the life of Job and the Patriarchs.

As He is so are we …… yes we are the heavens as Ray stated in Gospel of the Kingdom which is also Gospel of the Heavens/ elect who are being judged now.
Ray said ( I believe in His teaching on Gehenna) “that judgement IS the second
death and that the second death is judgement “. Then wouldn’t that mean that the elect are experiencing the second death now ( I die daily) with all the firey trials
spoken by Peter?  We have the knowledge  and understanding and are living this
Experience of evil that God has given to the sons of man to humble them by.ECC 3:10?•••which is my understanding a conversion of the mind that takes a lifetime.
And it is spiritual/ supernatural. I know the Elect have only the down payment of God’s Spirit yet and will be doing God’s work that He has prepared for them, upon
His return in judgement upon all the earth.
I pray we will be counted worthy to escape the things that come to pass Luke 21:36
Like Ray said” it’s no picnic in the park”.
And May I say that a six minute prayer certainly won’t suffice. There is no eternal firey
death, that’s blasphemy. Ok I’m done for now but I still want to discuss the world
part of as He is , so are we in the world/ kosmos as pertains to the lake of fire as the lake of fire is on the earth.

Thank you Dennis and mods for your service to God and His ministry.
Question… What with all the cloned teaching from Ray on our sight and the world
being at this critical juncture of war , I noticed very little response from people.
My question is… Will there be a time when God will open up the truth to people on our sight, Bible-truths.com. Isn’t the trumpet being blown on BT? I know it’s not there for no reason, God don’t do anything for no reason. Come Lord Jesus.

I've almost died once already and it really wasn't all that bad.  I've come through on the other side of a number of bad experiences.  I didn't enjoy them, but here I am on the other side, wiser and happier if only a bit..  Nothing that can befall me can make me more than temporarily uncomfortable in the grand scheme of things.  So, honestly, I don't "fear".  I don't even fear failure to be unafraid.  All of everything is of Him, by Him and for Him.  I'm clay, no matter what.

Exactly Dave! When Jesus says: “do not be afraid” He is essentially saying to have faith or that He will give faith where we have none.

An excerpt from — The Apostles said unto the Lord— “increase our faith”

Rays cloned voice—— “Does anyone who is familiar with our ministry and work
doubt that the spiritually dead are being raised back to a life of faith and
obedience?”

Luke 17:5….. The apostles said to the Lord “ increase our faith” ;

All glory to God 💕

Yes, I do believe His Elect are experiencing a second death now in this age, or that they will at least experience two deaths in this age; a death of the carnal mind and then a physical death.

As for Luke 21:36, you will escape if you “stay alert” as Jesus commanded. But what does that mean to “stay alert”? It's no different from another parable.

Mat 24:15  "So when you see the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place" (let the reader understand),
Mat 24:16  "then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!
Mat 24:17  A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house.
Mat 24:18  And a man in the field must not go back to get his clothes.

The message is to get to high ground and stay there.

Heb 6:1  Therefore, leaving the elementary message about the Messiah, let us go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, faith in God,
Heb 6:2  teaching about ritual washings, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3  And we will do this if God permits.
Heb 6:4  For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, became companions with the Holy Spirit,
Heb 6:5  tasted God's good word and the powers of the coming age,
Heb 6:6  and who have fallen away, because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding Him up to contempt.

When Ray taught us of the Spirit, it woke us up when we believed. We became aware of who we are inside, and we probably didn't like it. So when Jesus says to, “stay alert” He is telling us to stay alive and not die to the same things we were before He raised us to life with Him.

2Pe 2:20  For if, having escaped the world's impurity through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in these things and defeated, the last state is worse for them than the first.
2Pe 2:21  For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
2Pe 2:22  It has happened to them according to the true proverb: A dog returns to its own vomit, and, "a sow, after washing itself, wallows in the mud."

There is a tremendous amount of spiritual truth in the passages I have cited, but I'm trying to learn how to keep it short and simple by sticking to one thing at a time.

Again, the idea is to endure the “world” while in heaven with Jesus.

Pamela, I believe I have. Or at least remind myself of what our Father says which I completely believe. My only obstacle is being around non-believing individuals (and I don't mean non-christian) then some doubt slips in when faced with challenges. Hence being alone is best for me. Being around people is overrated I've come to learn.

I agree Bob, but if it's one of your children fighting for their very life it's next to impossible not to worry.

I agree Dennis. I've been there. Spent almost three years with no sleep, literally watching over whether the child was still breathing. Not to mention the countless hospital visits. I still get concerned, but it's at least not worry anymore. I lived through debilitating worry and fear so I know.
Just wanted to encourage you that it passes too. This is from someone who never thought it would.

Reading the material on The Lake Of Fire and finally be able to match
Spiritual with Spiritual with the Scriptures has certainly made a huge difference.
But the thing that has made the most difference for me, is the understanding
of not having free will . The Rapture paper has so much in there also.

As re. this post, these Scriptures give comfort.

….. for your endurance and faith in all your persecution’s and afflictions which
you are bearing … to deem you worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you are
suffering also. ( 11 Thes. 1:5-6)

I am thanking my God always concerning you over the grace of God which is being
given you in Christ Jesus, for in everything are you enriched in Him, in all expression and all knowledge according as the testimony of Christ was confirmed
among you so that you are not deficient in any grace…. awaiting the unveiling of
our Lord Jesus Christ who will be confirming you also until the consummation
UNIMPEACHABLE in the Day of Our Lord Jesus Christ. (1Corth.1:4-8)

At the unveiling. Come Lord Jesus.

Hang in there and keep the unity of the spirit. God Bless you all.💕
In Christ, Pamela
