Two of Every Kind
« on: August 19, 2024, 10:02:28 PM »

So I did a very short study on the animals that boarded the Ark with Noah and his family, where it said that “two of every kind — male and female” (Gen 6:19) boarded the Ark. I came across something I hadn't seen before. By presenting this, it is my sincerest hope that someone may be able to confirm and add something to aid my understanding of this or refute (without debate because I'm not taking a stand on this) what it is I think I'm seeing. If it's true, then perhaps it will lead me to understand other mysteries of God. Aside from that, I do not fully know the importance of what I think I'm seeing, as we all already know that “many are called, but few are chosen”. One thing is for sure, God certainly does repeat Himself a lot. I have a theory as to why He repeats Himself, but that is beside the point. I mean, I know God repeats Himself because these things are crucial for us to know, but to those without, there may be more reasons. I digress.

I know that Ray taught from the Scripture that the Ark that Noah built represents Christ, and I thoroughly agree with that. Would it be too much of a stretch to say that the Ark also represents the Kingdom of Heaven wherein we dwell? Consider this parable.

Mat 13:47  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Mat 13:48  Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

I could never figure out who the animals in the Ark represented. I used to believe the “many called” were the ones that didn't make it into the Ark when the flood came and swept them all away, but now I'm not so sure. The phrase “every kind” from Mat 13:47 appears to be referencing the “two of every kind” statement from Gen 6:19. For me to believe that, I have to believe that everyone who calls Jesus Lord is currently in His Kingdom bearing His name, even those that only honor Him with their lips.

Now consider this parable:

Mat 13:24  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Mat 13:25  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Mat 13:26  But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Mat 13:27  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Mat 13:28  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Mat 13:29  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Mat 13:30 says to, “Let both grow together until the harvest”. Isn't that what all those who are alive in the Ark represent? God didn't want to gather up those whom the enemy sowed, no, God wanted them alive as confirmed in Gen 6:19 here:

Gen 6:19  You are also to bring into the ark two of every living thing of all flesh, male and female, to keep them alive with you.

So, those whom the enemy sowed are with us in the Kingdom, in the Ark, or in Christ until the time of harvest, when there will no longer be male and female, or two of every kind; because we are one, but not everyone believes God is One. We are His flesh, His bones, we are all members of His body. Some for honor, and some for dishonor, not that we should honor ourselves.

Gal 3:27 For ye, as many as, into Christ, have been immersed (baptized), have put Christ, on:
Gal 3:28 There cannot be Jew or Greek, there cannot be bond or free, there cannot be male and female, for, all ye, are one, in Christ Jesus:

Mar 10:5  But Jesus told them, "He wrote this commandment for you because of the hardness of your hearts.
Mar 10:6  But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female.
Mar 10:7  For this reason a man will leave his father and mother [and be joined to his wife,]
Mar 10:8  and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

Who are they that are “marrying and giving in marriage” if not the male and female?

Mat 24:37  As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
Mat 24:38  For in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah boarded the ark.
Mat 24:39  They didn't know until the flood came and swept them all away. So this is the way the coming of the Son of Man will be:

How much more sense do these verses make now?

1Co 7:8  I say to the unmarried and to widows: It is good for them if they remain as I am.
1Co 7:9  But if they do not have self-control [...because of the hardness of your hearts - Mar. 10:5], they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with desire.

The animals did not know anything, just like the spiritually dead do not know anything spiritual. Why drown all those on the outside of the Ark to then sweep them all away? It was Noah, his family and all the animals that were swept away in the flood. However, only a few in the ark were saved; Noah and his family.

1Pe 3:20  who in the past were disobedient, when God patiently waited in the days of Noah while an ark was being prepared; in it, a few--that is, eight people--were saved through water.

Is there anyone who has called Jesus Lord, not been baptized?

1Co_12:13  For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

Remember, of those who were baptized in the flood, only eight were saved.

Mar 16:16  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

You would think that everyone who were baptized would be saved, but no. They were all indeed baptized, but not everyone was cleansed in their conscience because not everyone repents.

2Pe 1:9  The person who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted, and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins.

Now we're gettin to the nitty-gritty. What does the flood really represent? Remember, while “men slept”, the enemy sowed the weeds. This is going to take some faith.

Joh 19:33  When they came to Jesus, they did not break His legs since they saw that He was already dead.
Joh 19:34  But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and at once blood and water came out.

Rev 12:15  And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Rev 12:16  And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Rev 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

God wanted the many called to remain alive, how else would Satan's kingdom stand?

Mat 12:26  And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

From this, we can see why God wants the many called and the few chosen to grow together. We're all eating; however, the Elect are told to be careful how they eat.

Gen 9:4  However, you must not eat meat with its lifeblood in it.

Well, if Christ is dead, we can “eat” Him, right? I know it sounds weird, but stay with me.

Luk_22:19  And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:26  For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.

How do the many called eat?

Luk 17:37  "Where, Lord?" they asked Him. He said to them, "Where the corpse is, there also the vultures will be gathered.

I am told by my favorite search engine that vultures do not always wait until their prey is dead to eat them. In fact, vultures semi-regularly eat their prey alive as their prey is dying. Many predator animals do this, wild dogs, lions, wolves, bears etc. Below is another witness.

Jud 1:10  But these people blaspheme anything they don't understand, and what they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals--they destroy themselves with these things.
Jud 1:11  Woe to them! For they have traveled in the way of Cain, have abandoned themselves to the error of Balaam for profit, and have perished in Korah's rebellion.
Jud 1:12  These are the ones who are like dangerous reefs at your love feasts. They feast with you, nurturing only themselves without fear. They are waterless clouds carried along by winds; trees in late autumn--fruitless, twice dead, pulled out by the roots;
Jud 1:13  wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shameful deeds; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever (to the ages)!

Not only is eating living things gross, but that stuff will kill you if you aren't careful. Even if vultures have a very hearty constitution, they're not immortal.

Gen 3:22  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Gen 3:23  Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Gen 3:24  So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

When Jesus laid His life down, we were given His spirit. Remember Elisha as he witnessed Elijah being taken up, he tore his clothes and picked up Elijah's clothes. This is how the earth helped the woman (Rev. 12:16).

Gen 4:9  Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's guardian?"
Gen 4:10  Then He said, "What have you done? Your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground!

Joh 12:24  "I assure you: Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself. But if it dies, it produces a large crop.

Jesus was seeking a place to lay His head, and He found it in you who follows and believes (Mat 8:20).

1Co 3:9  For we are God's co-workers. You are God's field, God's building.

As Ray would say, God uses evil for good.

As usual, this went on longer than I expected. It really was a short study, but as I was writing down my notes and double-checking them, I sought to tie looses ends as much as possible with more Scripture. This is the result, but I still would like some confirmation with additional Scripture or error correction from the members if anyone is willing. If not, then no big deal. I know it's a lot to take in and digest. To be honest, it all just came as I was studying, so don't blame me. ;)

Sometimes after a study and especially after sharing it, I feel a lot of embarrassment and regret, but I'm not totally sure why. I begin second guessing and doubting. Frequently, I'll study something, take notes and just keep it to myself because of doubt or because I can't make something fit. I smile and feel relived when I just keep it to myself.

I really don't want to mislead anyone, as that is one of my biggest fears. Not that the Elect can be deceived, but perhaps those newer in the faith can be. I'm also worried you all might think I'm crazy, and truth be told, I might be. :D Seriously, who in their right mind smiles like that?

Lastly, I do hope this isn't in breach of the no teaching rule. I do sincerely believe that this is something I learned here at BT, hence my request for further discussion in terms of additions, corrections, and admonishment. I don't think I'm saying anything contrary to what Ray taught, neither is that my intent. Furthermore, I loved Ray, and he changed my life when he believed in God. However, if the mods do decide that this is indeed teaching, then I trust their judgment. I won't be offended…much. :D

Yes, this post is too long for me to digest this early in the morning. But here are three videos that will help with Noah:

I also can't go point by point, but it has seemed clear to me from the beginning of "this" that the Apostles were ministering and writing/preaching to both the called and the chosen.   To one it's been given to know/understand and to the other it has not been given.  The same writings and teaching even before the schisms and horrible doctrines of demons entered, many are called, few chosen.  Two women are at the well.  Two men are in the field.  One is taken, the other left.  One is not pointed out to be drawing water faster or better than the other.  It's Sovereign choosing that takes or leaves.

Of course there is more to it and more to be accomplished by the Lord in those He's chosen.  But at the outset, we're all outwardly intermingled and indistinguishable for both good and ill.

I don't know if that "agrees" completely with what you shared or not.  That's sort of an issue with discussing Spiritual (not religious) matters.  But I'm sure you are right about "repetition".  If only the Lord hadn't used so many parables, we'd all get it.  ;)

Thanks, Dave, that does confirm a lot of what I think I'm seeing. We are all truly indistinct from one another. There is real wheat, and there is false wheat (tares), and it can be very difficult to distinguish the two with the naked eye. This is what the parable of the wheat and the tares represents.

It makes perfect sense when I understand that I come from earth like Adam. If I'm like Adam, then I will be like Jesus unless I return to the earth. Remember Lot's wife, as Jesus would say. Because that earth is being made desolate. Reminds me of a song I used to listen to by Iron Maiden called 'Run to the Hills'.

Somehow, it gives me faith to know we are on the same page when it comes to God repeating Himself so often. Not only does He do this, so most would not understand, but so that most could take something good and call it evil.

Dennis, I watched the videos, and it did help as I had forgotten some things Ray said in those videos back when I first read them from his papers years ago. It helped in the way I had hoped when I was looking for confirmation.

I also read a lot of the comments from those videos and wasn't at all surprised at the negative reception. I think the following verses fit nicely with the whole theme of Noah's flood.

1Pe 4:4  In regard to this, they are surprised that you don't plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation--and they slander you.
1Pe 4:5  They will give an account to the One who stands ready to judge the living and the dead.

I see why Jesus was sad for His creation at times, and that is because they really did not know the “land” they were living in is the habitation of demons. The carnal mind is a real barrier, looking only at the physical.

2Co 3:12  Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness--
2Co 3:13  not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel could not look at the end of what was fading away.
2Co 3:14  But their minds were closed. For to this day, at the reading of the old covenant, the same veil remains; it is not lifted, because it is set aside only in Christ.
