I have been listening to the recently posted Two Judgements by Fire. It is interesting to hear (and somewhat in Ray’s voice) what I have read before. There is and was always SO MUCH in Ray’s inspired writings.
It got me to thinking.
The first “period” of judgement by fire for those that God called and chose will last, at a minimum, for 2,000 years. And of course it could be more than that even though most people believe that we must be at or very close to the time of Christ’s return in great Glory. From the reception of the Holy Spirt after Christ’s death until at least now is around 2,000 years. That time that “judgement must begin for the House of God”. So over that 2,000 year period those called and chosen have lived, or are living, a life of overcoming with trials, persecutions, and difficulties, but through the Grace (remember Divine intervention in our minds/hearts) of God have, or will, overcome this flesh and this fleshly existence. 2,000 years.
So, is it out of the realm of possibility that the White Throne Judgement (period, yom, age, time) will last at a minimum for the same or more thousands of years? My intuition says, yes, it is possible…maybe even probable. Historians believe it is probable that there have been in excess of 100 billion people born since the beginning. 100 billion! Wow.
100 billion that will have to live for some period of time in a physical, fleshly existence in order to be changed by God’s Fire (Christ) into perfect sons and daughters of God….just as were/is those in the first period of judgement by Fire!
Think of the logistics of 100 billion people living a physical life for a long enough period of time to fully overcome their beastly selves. Hard to imagine that happening in a “day”, as I believe that most Christian teachers believe. I just don’t see it that way. I see it taking a very long time. Not necessarily a long time for an individual to be changed….but a long time to finish the judgement for the huge multitude of humankind (not to mention the angelic beings and I have absolutely no thoughts on that one!). I mean look how long it takes for us to labor at overcoming in this age! Will it be easier in the White Throne Judgement….maybe because Satan will be bound and all mankind will see and know Christ and His Saints. But it still won’t be “easy” in the way we think of easy.
