I'm right there with you, bro. I still face moments of great weakness when enduring tribulation. But isn't that the purpose of these fiery trials? To reveal our weaknesses so we can recognize what is still within us, and so that Christ burns them out of us?

I think you're right Ralph. The trial that made me make this thread didn't break me, but it was a step towards just that.
The other day I experienced a trial severe enough that it revived that free willing beast within. So much so that I lost all hope for a little while. I couldn't see a way to turn back to the Lord. Jesus, as faithful as He is showed me He still has all power and authority and nothing could seperate me from His love.
The question that came up afterward was, how do I remain in His rest? Then I remembered, it's not of him wills or runs, but of God Who shows mercy. I had a feeling I'd have to deal with vanity in the way I did eventually.
