Aligning my will with God's will.
MG:
2 Samuel 18
32And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against thee to do thee hurt, be as that young man is.
33And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!
2 Samuel 19
5And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, Thou hast shamed this day the faces of all thy servants, which this day have saved thy life, and the lives of thy sons and of thy daughters, and the lives of thy wives, and the lives of thy concubines;
6In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.
7Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.
A coyote killed both my cats this week. I had them for 8 years. I was heart broken. I found myself once again wrestling in front of God fighting the attack on his character. I was thinking about how cruel nature is and wondering how God could allow evil and cruelty.
I listened to Ray's audio on doing the will of God. Thinking of my cats and listening to the tape made me think of David losing Absolom and how God demanded that David align his will with God's will with his people even though he just lost his son. I know that God is asking me to align my will with his will even through this painful situation with the loss of my cats. The more I grow the harder the lessons and much more is required. In the past I've accepted God's will in my life, but this time he is asking me to agree with it in my mind and heart. It's a tough lesson.

Hi MG,
I too have pets that I love very much, and I have lost pets too.
I do sympathize with you, on how hard it is.
To lose a beloved pet, suddenly is difficult.
Time does help easy the pain.
2Ch 20:9 If evil comes on us, whether the sword, judgment, or plague, or famine, and we stand before this house and in Your presence (for Your name is in this house) and cry to You in our affliction, then You will hear and help.
mercy, peace, and love

MG so sorry for your loss! I live in an area where we don't have coyotes(I don't think) so that sounds really tragic!
I do love your point about accepting God's will vs. aligning or agreeing with it. A good study topic.
Kat that was a great scripture. I didn't remember it, but it is a good one.
Hope you are OK MG.
love,

MG,
I too am a cat owner and cat lover, my heart went out to you when I read your post. It is incredibly heartbreaking to lose our pets, I have been through it too many times, but that is what happens as you get to be my age............
May He give you His Peace and Comfort,
Your Brother,
Joe
