Thessalonians 5: 18
« on: September 19, 2006, 01:41:04 PM »

 Hello Ray,

I have a question if and when you get the time. I know that you are very busy.

In first Thessalonians 5: 18 it says: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

My question is - WHAT is the will of God in this text? Is EVERY THING the will of God, or is GIVING THANKS the will of God? I am not always thankful for everything so if this is what this text is referring to, then the will of God is NOT always done, BUT, if EVERY THING is the will of God in this text, and that we are to be thankful for it, then this makes sense. I appreciate your comments and respect your point of view. Thanks Ray.

Dear Hala:
I spoke at our last Mobile Conference a couple of weeks ago on "WHAT IS THE WILL OF THE FATHER?"  I believe that the audio is on our Discussion Forum.
God be with you,
Ray
