Want to fellowship

Hello!  Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!  I'm here in Clearwater Florida and was looking for somebody in the area to fellowship with.  Is there anyone that lives on the west side of Florida?  Please let me know.

I'm just south of you ... in Bradenton.

Seems there are several Floridians here. Also, Joe (one of the moderators) is in Tampa, I believe.

 Hello,
Thanks for welcoming me Iris & Kat... Yes Kat, I first read the Tithing pages in Sept. 2006 and since then I've copied and read everything else quite a few times.

I was hoping that the " Want to Fellowship " thread would possibly mean that I could meet & speak to someone(in person) in Orlando, but any where in Florida is good though. I have'nt met any Like Minded believers yet. Some day soon I hope that will change.

Hi D,

Well, you have been doing a lot of reading  :)
That's a key part to understanding this truth, read read read.
I'm up here on the Miss gulf coast, that not too close to you.  We are the salt of the earth, sprinkled around, that's why this forum is so good to have.  But you should think about coming to the Mobile fall conference, the first weedend in Nov.  I know Joe (hillsbororiver) will be there, he's from Florida, it's a great time to meet people.
I never went to chat rooms before this and didn't come here for months, you get use to this way of communication pretty quick, so do join in the conversation here.  This can be a very good source of fellowship.

   Hey Kat,

Yes, I make sure to read everyday. A few years back, I injured my Brain (T.B.I)
and now I have to read anything/everything over and over and over just so I can get it
soaked in. If I take too long of a break, it's like I never read it, or Like I read it years ago.

After reading for a while, it seems like I did'nt get enough sleep and still ran for 30 miles.
Not at all trying to say how ruff things are. My Father has helped me with many other problems I had
and then I did my part. I've read many letters of these people thanking Ray and I can kind of relate to the few that have said they've found what they were looking for. But actually, to me it's not more or less, it's ALL and COMPLETE. That might not make sense. Put it this way...

A few years after my accident I needed to know why I was having such a heard time living in this World.
Everything seemed like it changed for the worse and I could'nt keep up with the Speed of Life.
So I went on a info hunt on the net and was lead to a site where the Doctor was a specialist in T.B.I
and had all research for survivors & family free to copy. What I read, BLEW MY MIND!!!
It's like he wrote this stuff all about me. All the problems that would happen in all the different stages of time happened exactly the same for me. Out of a list of dozens of possble difficulties, 1 or 2 did'nt apply to me. I studied over & over and tried to live with what I was learning.

9 years later, the same exact thing happend. I searched and I found. It seemed like this Guy " Ray "
read my mind and answerd all the questions Dozens of others told me, " who knows? Pray about it."

P.s.   I've had trouble like many others trying to explain how the Good News they're recieving is not so
GOOD... I finally had some form of proof to bake up what I deeply believed in... Thanks

By the way, someone knowing that I have brain damage, usually finds it hard to take me seriously.
So explaining to them that what their Grand Parents taught to their Parents and what was passed on to
them , is all wrong. Does'nt make it easier for me.

AHAHAHAHAHA. that's the normal reaction I get...

Hi D,

That is really tough, that it is harder for you to learn this truth than normal. Well God has given you this difficult life experience, but He has opened your eyes to the truth and here you are  :)
God gives as all different experiences, yours is what He wanted for you.  If you are of the chosen few He will perfectly prepare you for what He desires of you and your physical challenges can not hinder God's plan for you.

Well the thing of being laughed at, that sounds like just another form of persecution I would think.  I don't try to talk to people that are not interested in hearing this truth, "do not throw your pearls before swine" (Matt. 7:6).  But I would want to give an answer if asked, "be ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason of the hope in you" (1 Peter 3:15).

I will be praying for you.

   Kat,

You said: " That is really tough, that it is harder for you to learn this truth than norm "

That seems to be like it makes sense, but NO... It made it sooo much more clearer and easier for me.
Ofcourse not the whole memory part of it all, but the evidence of Gods plans to have my whole life change completely. Everything that I've read here did'nt seem new to me, it just showed to me that
the crazy thoughts I had finally made sense.

K " Well the thing of being laughed at, that sounds like just another form of persecution I would think "

Good way to think Kat. After each laugh/giggle/pfff or whatever, it was just what I expected.
It's never anything new or different. Most of the time it's obvious that their reaction to my claims
are an act. It's their form of defense. One laughs, to give the signal for the rest of the group to join in.

K " I don't try to talk to people that are not interested in hearing this truth  (Matt. 7:6) "

Now, too bad I did'nt learn that one wayyy back. But then again, It's all about HIS timing.
I tried so hard to stay close to my Brothers that went to different Temples of Lies. And at the same time, tried to stay connected with my Brothers of the Temples of Boom(Weed Heads)
I kept trying to show love and building with them, but they slowly got worse and worse...
Losing respect of all Family, Friendship, Eachother and Anyone else.(9 year battle)

So I learned that it's clear, to get the "GOOD NEWS" into the Lost, Believers minds.

Like Jesus at the Temples. I've heard Pastors talk about Jesus Preaching in the Temples like he was part
of the scheduled service.

                                        K   "    (1 Peter 3:15)   "

I've got loads of stories of where I was lead to end up speaking to "Believers "
But always ended up the same way. I've stepped back now, even though at times it feels like I'm not
doing what I should be doing... You probably did'nt get that. If I ever see ya, you'll know.

K    " Well God has given you this difficult life experience "

It did seem that way and at time still does, but because I can't get a decent job, Lost all connections,
live off of Social Security Disability, and have a hard time gaining respect from anyone, I have ALLLLLLL
the time I need to PRAY, STUDY/READ, WRITE, GIVE THANKS, RE-READ, RE-WRITE, PLAN, SEARCH,
RE-SEARCH and you get the idea...

So in other words, My FATHER has completely cleaned my entire agenda just to FOCUS on HIM!!!

Thank you for your Prayers. Let me just tell you, I prayed for you ALL quite a while back.
Now I've finally found you.

P.s.     When I said, " Everything that I've read here did'nt seem new to me "
I don't mean that I knew everything already, it means nothing is a real shock to me. It all fits.

Now, the God of the O.T. was kind of a Mind Bomb, but makes so much more sense.

P.s.s     I was one of the many Pre-Baptised, Record playing, no choice in the decision CATHOLICs.
But know when I look back (I still have good long-term memory) it seems that God/Jesus
always gave me the idea of......

I'll wait for another time on that one. Not know...

Hello D Student

I believe that if Jesus shares His cross with us then we experience some of what He endured through His life.

In the following teaching Ray talks about Jesus as being despised of men. He refers to Isa 53:3 which I believe expresses how our Lord has given to you a share in His suffering.  The teaching is on the following link : http://bible-truths.com/audio/Nashville07_8.mp3

Peace to you

Hi D,

Welcome (back).  I'm a newbie, just started reading/studying a few weeks ago but something you said caught my eye...

D:  When I said, " Everything that I've read here did'nt seem new to me "
I don't mean that I knew everything already, it means nothing is a real shock to me. It all fits.

I can totally understand what you are saying.  It seems that my entire walk with God, which I guess would say started over 20 years ago, has been filled with Huh? moments.  I would listen to messages from pastors or certain authors and it just didn't make sense.  I learned quickly that my FATHER in heaven is much like (but oh so much better) my earthly father and so when a teaching came across that made God seem more like an ogre than a father, I questioned it.

I believe, as I'm sure everyone does, that everything - EVERYTHING in my walk with Him, all the "positions" that I took and then discarded were for a reason.  I understand how 'the other half' thinks because I used to think it!  LOL  And I believe that this quality makes us more open to seeing what really is true.  And it makes it so exciting and gives me a hunger to know Him more.

Thank you for your post.  I also loved the part about God clearing off your slate for the important things in life.  May he continue to bless your and all of our journey!

God's blessings to you JCAlive and "D" on your quest to fellowship in person.  I know how much this means to our souls!

AND A BIG WELCOME TO YOU "D."  Glad you have joined the forum!  I'm glad you still have long-term memory from your brain injury, and I will pray for your short-term memory as well.

FUNNY:  "..... so explaining to them that what their Grand Parents taught to their Parents and what was passed on to them, is all wrong. Does'nt make it easier for me."  HA!  [See Jer 16: 19 when you have time.  :)]

I related much to what you [as well as Dawn] shared about having sort of wisps of "unorganized Inspired moments" throughout life that Catholicism/organized religion was not adding up and in fact didn't add up well at all.  "D" don't forget to come back to this post or post again... it looks like you got interrupted and I appreciate your insights and am glad for you that you've been given the wherewithal to focus on Him at this station in your life.

I'm so very glad you are here.

Have a great week,  :)
Janice
