Hi Isabell, Shoeman & Sorin, remember they used to laugh at L. Ron Hubbard (in the 50's) the former science fiction writer turned "prophet" even though he never stopped writing science fiction he just re-labeled it scientology, made it a religion and now his made up religion has hundreds of thousands of devotees.

How about the Heaven's Gate guy? Who in their right mind could have fallen for that, yet they were all well educated and mainly wealthy.

Anyway to be serious, the Word of God is very clear on what the purpose of these people are.

Deu 13:1  If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2  And the sign or the wonder come to pass(interesting), whereof he spoke unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

Now what are we told to do?

Deu 13:3  Thou shalt not hearken (listen) unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth(is testing) you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Well that explains what the Lord is doing with these false prophets, but what are we to do?

Deu 13:4  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
 So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. Deu13:4

For those of you who take this satire seriously, just wanted to point out that the creators of this nonsense do this as a jab against intelligent design and a belief in God period not because they really believe it (I dont' think anyone does or if they do they have other issues....)  

These atheists cannot comprehend that it is both logical and a reasonable  [justified] belief to have faith in something drawn from inference.  (in ID's case:  design) so they mock it by "inventing" their own "god" to support what they think every other religion has done.

It's almost cute if it wasn't so sad.

I'm wondering what has happened in these people's lives to make them so "hell-bent" on making a satire..  For people in the world who believe in something with a higher power, they are sincere (for the most part).
