e-sword geeks to the rescue!
« on: October 22, 2006, 11:09:37 AM »

Hi all,

just a question on e-sword. When I try to copy text from the KJV I always get the Strong's numbers added to the text. How can I copy the text without getting those numbers? It's kind of tiring to delete them afterwards. Hope you got the question, and that there is an answer!

Have a nice day,
Eirik

Here’s how to tell if you have faith; how do you live… what do you do… what do you accomplish in life… what are your goals… What is there about you that proves that you have this faith and belief inside of you? What?

Hi Eirik,

You'll need to  download a different KJV that doesn't have the numbers. I use the KJVR (R stands for red letter edition) for posting in a thread. You can find it here:

http://www.e-sword.net/bibles.html

There are several other translations on that link as well.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for your answer,

I'm thinking about trying some of the other free bible study programs, just to see which one I like the most. e-sword is good, but it has a few annoyances.

The alternatives I found so far are:
GnomeSword (for Linux, comes with Ubuntu Christian Edition)
The Sword Project
LCDBible

Do you know about others?
