I'm not sure I understand what is meant by "WORKS". Is it everything we do everyday, or talking to

others about God's Kingdom or what?  Could someone help me to understand this.

Hello Iris,
To me, works is everything we do everyday, which includes talking to others about God's Kingdom, however - taking heed WHO we should be talking to about God's kingdom.

Here is the greek definition;
G2041   ἔργον   ergon   er'-gon
From ἔργω ergō (a primary but obsolete word; to work); toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication an act: - deed, doing, labour, work.

Note, in all the verses mentioned in Ray's excerpt provided by Joe, that our own works is not what we are justified by, but by doing Gods' works, which He puts in us to do;
Phil2:13, For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. What an awesome verse!

When we are doing God's will, His good works will shine through us.

I believe there is so much more instruction that God sets forth for us in His Word that we need to take heed to, in understanding how our works can only be made good by His good works.  My reply hasn't even made a dent.  Maybe other members can add to this??

I don't want to puff you up but your post did make a dent for me....it showed your love and time you were led to invest to encourage and uplift Iris. This for me shows how Jesus is working in your life to bless us with His life in you.
