Dear Jordan:
If I had the time to go through it with you historically and etymologically, you
would find that "eon" and "age" are both derived from the Greek word "aion."
Likewise the English word "eternal" comes from the Latin "eternus/eternum/
aeterno/aeternum/ and aevum," the last of which is almost identical to the
Greek "aion."
 
My question to you is :  what is your point?
