Frogs do not need to drink water as they absorb the water through their skin.

In 1864, A Quebec farmer found a frog inside a hailstone.

The Spring peeper (a frog) can survive the winter season with 65% of its body water as ice.

The fire-bellied toad has a bright red belly that it displays to predators as a defense mechanism. It is also a warning that the toad's skin is poisonous.

The mating call of a male toadfish, who are underwater, is so loud that it can be heard by humans above water.

The smallest frog is the "Brazilian baby frog", which is smaller than a dime.

Unlike a frog a toad cannot jump.

When threatened, the horned toad shoots blood from it's eyes. 

Wood frogs can be frozen solid and then thawed, and continue living. They use the glucose in their body to protect their vital organs while they are in a frozen state.

I believe God's sense of humor is sometimes revealed in His creatures (not just humans either)

When I was a young child, my siblings and I had a game we would play after it got dark.

We would take an old quart size canning jar, take an ice pick and punch holes in the lid,

and then run around the yard and fields that were near the house and collect as many

frogs or toads as we could find. The one that found the most was the winner.

We, of course, let all the frogs loose afterwards. 

Sometimes we would go after lighting bugs instead of frogs.

  Our highlight of each summer growing up would be to get a shoebox and fix it up with tissues, twigs, and leaves.  We would then stake out the trees and wait for cicadas.  We loved to keep these in our room and hear them make their noises and have them walk on us.  When they died, I would bury them in my cemetry in front of my room window.
