The Kingdom Of God
hillsbororiver:
This is a very interesting and eye opening thread, I remember at the Conference Ray described everything in the universe (and beyond) as being in an ocean, that ocean is the Spirit of God.
Thanks Brothers and Sisters for all the edification here.
His Peace and Wisdom to you,
Joe

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven. Jhn 3:13
This verse indicates Christ was in heaven, while he was on earth
The Kingdom of God/Heaven are one in the same, Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luk 17:21
Hope this helps

Actually, the phrase that you made bold " which is in heaven", is not in some of the translations. That phrase is also not in the interlinear bible translation.
So I am not sure that this can be used to indicate that Christ was in heaven while he was on earth.
Youngs literal translation, Jhn 3:13 "No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man."
NLT, Jhn.3:13 "For only I, the Son of Man,* have come to earth and will return to heaven again."
NIV, Jhn 3:13 " No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven–the Son of Man"
To me, these translations are less confusing, and they also convey what was meant to be learned. Which is that no one has ascended to heaven yet, except for Jesus.
I used this verse in a discussion that I had with our pastor about his unscriptural belief that Enoch was the only man taken to heaven by God without having to die first.

The Apostle Paul also mentioned being taken up into the third heaven (I believe)...I think this was much the same situation as the Apostle John...it was 'in the spirit'. Anyone have other insights concerning this mentioning of 'heaven'? :)
