Wow, what a machine!
« on: December 30, 2006, 12:17:27 AM »

What would you think if you read an advertisement for a machine that had the following features? :)

  • Capability of using and understanding artificial languages and their decoding systems
  • Memory banks for Information storage and retrieval
  • Elegant control systems regulating the automated assembly of parts and components
  • Error fail-safe and proof-reading devices used for quality control
  • Assembly processes involving the principal of prefabrication and modular construction....
  • A capacity never before seen, as the machine would be capable of replicating itself down to the smallest of detail in a matter of hours.

What would you think of such a machine?

What if it were real? Do you know what it is and who invented it?

It's a living cell, created by God. :)

Did you know that a cell is capable of consuming part of itself when devoid of nutrients, in order not to die.

What a gracious GOD we have. So much die the wisdom of men and his machines :)

1Cr 1:20
  • Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Love,
Darren

Wow LOL! That's awesome! As I was reading the description of the "machine", I was thinking about how goofy it was going to be, like a joke or something. How wrong was I? That was so cool! God's the Master Inventor for sure!

I too was thinking of some kind of computer like machine.

God's creations are wonderfully glorious,

especially the sweet smelling flowers.

A favorite of mine is the Iris (some call them flags).

I think they are absolutely beautiful when they bloom in the late spring.

What a great post Darren!!!  :o

The first thing that came to mind was: I'd wait a few years until the price came down.  ;) :D

But then, you can't put a price on God's awesome creation.

Great thread!

Thanks Sandy and everyone else who replied ;)

God is indeed the Master Designer and Architect. All we can do is stare in amazement at a glorious sunrise or sunset; makes our accomplishments look pretty small.

You know, when Christ said: "But you are no longer part of the world" he never once meant that we are not part of his creation.

Lot's of love to you all :)

Awesome isn't it?  The complexities of a single cell are truly mind-boggling.  It's amazing the lengths people go to sometimes to deny the obvious design and thought put into each aspect of nature so they don't have to admit there is One who is definitely in charge.  Truly, blindness is the only answer.  Great thread!!!!!

Thanks Mongoose :)

And to think that there are millions who still believe that all of this happened by mere chance.

And they laugh at our faith, it is us who have cause for laughter. :)

Wait until they have eyes to see.......
