Hi Ray, Enjoy ALL your enlightening and encouraging articles. To me the Gospel you present leaves Christendom's Gospel "for dead." I am also persuaded that God punishes to save, not to destroy. What is your understanding though regarding Ananiias and Sapphira's punishment when instant death was meted out to them for lying? Warm regards, Harold

It is an example to God's Elect that they are not to pretend to be one thing in the eyes of
their brothers, but then to be totally different in the intent of their heart. They did not need
to broadcast to everyone how MUCH they loved God by HOW MUCH they were going to give,
only to hold back part of the money because it meant more to them than their WORD to God.
If God were to physically kill everyone guilty of this crime, the population of the world would be
considerably smaller.
