Spirit after death

<< < (3/4) > >>

longhorn:
Wasnt there a song in the 70's called Operator. ... I may be wrong...... Jim Croce? (spelling)  Anyway, gotta go..

Longhorn

rick:
Operator, well, could you help me place this call
See, the number on the matchbook is old and faded
She's living in L.A. with my best old ex-friend Ray
A guy she said she knew well and sometimes hated

But, isn't that the way they say it goes
But let's forget all that
And give me the number if you can find it
So I can call just to tell them I'm fine and to show
I've overcome the blow
I've learned to take it well
I only wish my words could just convince myself
That it just wasn't real
But that's not the way it feels

Operator, well, could you help me place this call
'Cause I can't read the number that you just gave me
There's something in my eyes - you know it happens every time
I think about the love that I thought would save me

No, no, no, no, that's not the way it feels

Operator, let's forget about this call
There's no one there I really wanted to talk to
Thank you for your time, you've been so much more than kind
You can keep the dime

gmik:
Love that song!!

debbysnotary:
love that song operator by jim croce too dont know if i spelled that right or not either. but i am wondering that myself what happens to our spirit when we die, i know it goes back to God but then what? we dont get our spiritual bodys till the ressurctione right? can someone lead me to the answers to this, i searched Rays site and i cant locate anything on what happens to our spirits? coz isnt that who we are? Im confused :-\ :-\

rick:
I believe we are in a state of imperception until such time as God  rejoins our spirit to a spiritual body. death is a time of sleep? and rest? until the ressurection. but the wonder of it that we dont know we are dead and when we are quickened we will suddenly be awakened from what we remember as a 1 second nap. in a twinkling of an eye.
