Arcturus,

E-sword is my favorite, but I cannot access it while I am at work... my job provides me with a good deal of free time so I have had to find other ways to study and search while I am here. Here are a few:

Bible gateway is great for looking up various translations, as well as cross referencing:

http://www.biblegateway.com/

Includes these versions:

+ New International Version
+ New American Standard Bible
+ The Message
+ Amplified Bible
+ New Living Translation
+ King James Version
+ English Standard Version
+ Contemporary English Version
+ New King James Version
+ 21st Century King James Version
+ American Standard Version
+ Young's Literal Version
+ Darby Translation
+ New Life Version
+ Holman Christian Standard
+ New International Reader's Version
+ Wycliffe New Testament
+ Worldwide English (New Testament)
+ New International Version - UK
+ Today's New International Version

Blue Letter Bible is the closest thing to E-Sword online that you do not have to download to use... a variety of translations, strongs #'s & definitions, bible dictionaries & encyclopedia's, maps and charts, etc.

http://www.blueletterbible.com/

Online version of the Concordant Literal Version:

http://www.concordant.org/version/index.html

Online version of the Revised Standard Version:

http://etext.virginia.edu/rsv.browse.html

Online parallel bible... so you can see one verse in 10 or 12 versions side by side:

http://bible.cc/

I also use a interlinear scripture analyzer... which shows the greek word, the english translation of that greek word, the literal translation of that word... then shows the complete translated verse on the side margin. Based on the concordant literal version... and can be downloaded at scripture4all.org or you can view the the .pdf version here:

OT_Hebrew: http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/Hebrew_Index.htm

NT_Greek: http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/Greek_Index.htm

Hope this helps.

As ignorant as I am sure I sound about this topic... I don't know how it is going to happen and I don't think about it too much. I figure God knows the plan and it will all be according to His plan. I trust him with my heart, mind and soul and spirit and don't worry about it. God's got it. Jennie

Hi Jennie,

I know what you mean.  This topic is not huge on my priority list either.  In fact, I have never given it much thought, unfortunately it's the only "bible topic" my brother is interested in discussing.  I listen to what he has to say but most of the time I have no idea if what he is telling me is the truth since I don't know much about it.  He insists that I "must" know however, otherwise I'm going to be really shocked when I'm one of those people that is "left behind".  I just think, "Whatever."  I trust in my God, and whatever happens is going to happen no matter what I "think" or "know".

However, I do feel pulled to know something about it, since my brother keeps bringing it up and I don't want to be totally ignorant about it.  Also, I keep thinking that if I show some interest, maybe he'll be interested in what I have to say (wishful thinking?).  Of course, in the end, anything that has to do with the scriptures interests and fascinates me, it's just that there are some things more interesting to me than others.

Hi Josh and Arcturus,

What e-sword modules do you have?  I have a zip file I can send you of some hard to find modules (translations and commentaries) if you are interested.  I love e-sword.  Also, you can find some interesting stuff for e-sword at the www.thechan.com site.  Let me know if you are interested in the file, it's got NASB and NLT, among a few others.

Peace, Diana
