Cindy, i tried to find the scripture you quoted,
but could not find it. The scripture is familiar
but is not at 2Peter:4-6. I wanted to bookmark
the scripture, do you know where it is at?
Thanks.

Iris

pylady:
Sorry Iris.  The Scripture is 2Peter 3:4-7.

Kat:

Hi Cindy,

--- Quote --- But He did tell Noah he was going to destroy the earth by means of a flood, so it seems to me the things coming on the earth now He doesn't want them to "escape our notice" today.  Unlike the world we can now see it as God's judgment, but it seems to me (of course, I can be wrong)  that the world will not know this until the very end when His judgments come and they are swept away.

--- End quote ---

Yes I too believe the things coming to the earth will not "escape our notice" today, that is what I believe is meant by, "you are not in darkness..."

1Th 5:4  But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to surprise you like a thief.

But I feel the world will not be aware of what is happening, even as it comes upon them.  The ignorance and false teachings that they have learned will have them so confused, they just won't have a clue.
But they will give account and be judged and all be taught the truth, though it might take a little while for them to start to get it.

1Peter 4:5  But they shall give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
v. 6  For to this end the gospel was preached also to the dead (spiritually), that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the Spirit.

I believe that those who are having their eyes open, will be made ready for His return, but you must stay vigilent.

Luk 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts are weighed down with headaches and drinking and anxieties of this life; and that day should suddenly come on you;
v. 35  for it shall come as a snare on all those sitting on the face of the whole earth.
v. 36  Watch therefore, praying in every season that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things which shall occur, and to stand before the Son of Man.

mercy, peace, and love
Kat

Deborah-Leigh:
Hello Kat

I agree with you. I also see the word STAND as very important in the scriptures you present for us to meditate upon.

That word STAND appears in Ephesians and in Romans. We are born in weakness and only God can make us STAND as you note Kat that some are being prepared to do just that.

...."having DONE ALL....STAND therefore" Eph 6 : 13,14 and "God is ABLE to MAKE YOU STAND" Rom 14;4

We can not stand in our own strength that will continue to fail, fold and falter but in Christ's Faith we will experience the Glory of STANDING!

Gods ways are not easy but they are Perfect! :)

Peace to you Sis'

Arcturus :)
