Stupid Church Marquee
« on: May 09, 2007, 08:31:38 PM »

Last week's message:

What's the only thing worse than going to hell?
Being there for eternity

This week's message:

All mothers passing by
are you ready to die!

I am sad and angered that they are claiming to represent my God.
Such compassion......NOT!

It is a baptist church....so glad to have come out of her......

God's love be with you all

I seen this one a few weeks ago
:ARE YOU YOUR CHILDRENS SOUL SUPPORT
it really made me think how i taught my children according to christendom and stood firm in that for the largest part of my life.i regret that now but have to believe God has a plan far beyond what my finite mind can even comprehend. I also worry about what to teach my grandchildren because my children are fully grounded in the ways of the christian church, thanks to me. do i dare??????.............rick

To be fair on the many churches I once attended. They all taught and followed the 10 commandments and some what tried to show love and respect as commanded by Christ.

This in itself is not bad, wrong or shameful. It is the elitism and segreagation and the pompus attitude of many that got them in trouble.

I think this is what many have trouble leaving.......

Just some thoughts, tis all. :)

Love,
Darren

This is to Rick; don't feel bad about how you raised your kids. You did the best you could and God knows that. All I can say about your grand-children is just love them and spend time with them. God will work it all out. You have my respect for being so humble to express your feelings of guilt. I , personally, don't think you have anything to feel guilty over. Keep the faith.

Rick, ironic isn't it??

I made the kids from day one of course go to church w/ us.  Sent them to a Christian school and 2 of them to a Christian College.(we wouldn't pay otherwise)

and Dang, if they didn't turn out Christian!!!  Good church goers, for real, not the phony stuff.

and now....

I don't go to church and have these "heretical" ideas.

THEY can't believe it!!!!

Seminole, I agree.  We did what we thought best at the time for our kids.  That was God's plan.
