I am only adding this post for a bit for a bit of levity!
I have an over developed sense of humor and I love dogs.
A man visits a talent agent to show him his talking dog, uninvited of course!
Given a chance to demonstrate his act, he asked the dog a question.
"What is on top of a house?", asked the handler.
"Roofh! Roofh!", barks the dog.
"How does sandpaper feel?", asked the handler.
"Rough! Rough!", barked the dog seemingly batting a thousand!
Final question, "Who is a famous baseball player?", confidentally quizzed the handler.
The dog, in usual fashion, responded with, "Ruth! Ruth!"
The agent was not immediately impressed and indicated they shouldn't call him but wait for his call.
Leaving the agency dog asked his handler, "Do you think I should have said Joe DiMagio?"
Grace and peace,

This reminds me of an experience I had.
I had this mean ol Sealpoint Siamese that I loved dearly, named Chewy.
She became very sick, she was 17 yrs old at the time, and the Vet found a big lump in her stomach. The Vet wanted to do exploratory surgery but she warned me if things were bad, she would rather not wake up my cat. I insisted on being there if that was the case.
I received a call about 5 PM that I need to come down to the clinic. That was not a pleasant drive. When I got there, the vet showed me this mass that was about the size of a softball and was attached to a major artery. The Vet said she did not think operation was an option due to the size of the mass and the cat may bleed to death before she could close up the incision. So, I agreed to put Chewy to sleep. I held her paw as the Vet gave the injection and when she said "OK, Kali's asleep", I lost it. That cat had been with me thru some very difficult times, I felt so alone.
However, the Vet called about a week later and told me of a very beautiful Calico kitten that a client of hers had to give away. I hesitated for several days before I agreed to take a look at this kitten. When I saw her, I knew she was for me. She had this attitude about her that reminded me so much of Chewy. Her name is Kali the Calico cat. And twice as mean as Chewy ever was.
I later learned form the Vet that the Kali was born on the same day that Chewy was put to sleep.
Kali is now 7, and at this moment is asleep next to me, laying on her back with all 4 legs up in the air.
Thank you for your story, Arcturus.
And, thank you God.
