I laughed
Robert:
I thought that was funny as well. Have you seen the one titled ‘Ray, I am a highly learned bible scholar’? I thought it was a parody or at least some sort of warped humour, but upon a closer look it seems that this guy actually believes what he said. If that’s the case, the title should have been: ‘Ray, I’ve got an ego the size of Jupiter.’

Funny Robert!
Chuckt- that was my impression. It is sad to think I used to think that way-without question! No scripture reference??? No problem-don't need one! As long as a "pastor" said it, he must have looked it up!! ugh.

Gena and friends,
What is always amazing to me is that these folks read the forum messages and Mr. Smith's responses as Craig reposts them and still put their foot in their own mouth. Perhaps it is a panic response to a genuine concern or fear that if they don't correct Ray immediately, then God will hold them responsible. Just as it is their mistaken idea that they must share the gospel with every person they meet whether that person is receptive or not, assuming that God will otherwise condemn that person to annihilation.
Recalling my own past history, I'm inclined to pity the uninformed or misinformed and yet I am confident that their day will come.

Beloved:
I agree Indiana any one of us could have been spewing out that same kind of religious stuff if we turned back the clock.
Because God showed us mercy and opened our ears and eyes......we need to pity and pray for these poor uninformed and misinformed souls. We can criticsize what they say ....but not what they are at this time.
The more vicious their response is .....the more threatened they must feel. God's Word must be really pricking at their gourds

Sorin:
Yes, this was definitely worth the read for the laughter alone, if not for anything else. :p
