I just want to say God Bless, you for you paper on tithing. I feel as though a weight has been lifted, I was feeling so distraught over not being able to give the 10 percent tithe, I have so many mounting medical bills ( I had Cancer) and I am also a single mother. I am also a minister who may be asked not to participate in church or leadership because of the stand I am taking on tithing. I have read most of you e-mails and responses. There has never been a question asked of you on this topic that you could not scripturally defend, even from those who write to you with scripture laden text. I am so tired of leaving church feeling worse than when I came in. I am a cheerful giver, I give to homeless, I crochet blankets and have given them away by the hundreds. I give an offering but there are times if I paid the 10 % tithe that I would have been evicted from by home or sitting in the dark. Please keep up the good work you have freed so many. I thank God for you and your work.
