Angry/Lust
« on: June 27, 2007, 07:24:00 PM »

Hello,

I read "Lake of Fire Series" in chapter 16D3 "The Sermon On The Mount is for You". My concerning is if I am right understand this, for being angry and lust must be zero for to enter the kingdom of God? Like we, must have never angry or lust, not even once angry or lust. Am I right?

Thanks,

Brett

Here are some things that Ray wrote.
http://bible-truths.com/lake6.html

God truly is NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS. GOD IS ABLE TO BRING ANY PERSON TO REPENTANCE. How could anyone deny it? There is no such thing as a person being so evil that he cannot be converted by the spirit of God. But God has a timetable, and He will follow that timetable. There is great wisdom in what God does and how He does it and when He does it and to whom He does.

http://bible-truths.com/lake3.html
I did not use up a couple of pages here just to tell an interesting story from the Bible. It is more than just an interesting story, it is an amazing and marvelous story, and it portends profound hope for a lost and sinning world. Why does Paul tell us that he was the chief of ALL SINNERS? Why did our Lord choose this worst of sinners to be His apostle at this particular time in history? Why didn’t He choose a mediocre sinner like James or John to be His apostle to the Gentiles? Why did it have to be THE WORLD’S WORST SINNER? What did our Lord prove by using the world’s worst sinner that He couldn’t have done by using a lesser sinner? MUCH!

I have heard people say already that "God won’t save me; I have committed too many horrible sins for God to ever save me!" And I have heard and had people personally tell me that God will never save men like Ted Bundy or Adolph Hitler because their sins were so evil and so many. Oh, how we humans love to put limitations on an INFINITE GOD! Here’s the answer as to why God needed to chose the world’s WORST SINNER to be the apostle to the rest of the world:

"Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting" (I Tim. 1:16).

The King James really does not do justice to this verse at all. Most have read right over this verse and never saw the profound, universal, all-embracing teaching in this verse. Let me quote it from the Concordant Version:

"But therefore was I shown mercy, that in me, THE FOREMOST [the worst sinner ever] Jesus Christ should be DISPLAYING [publicly] ALL HIS PATIENCE [yes God has ‘patience’ with even the worst of sinners], FOR A PATTERN, of those who are about to be believing on Him for life eonian"

Jesus Christ chose Paul, the WORST, CHIEF, FOREMOST, PREEMINENT SINNER THAT EVER LIVED (huperbole), to be put on PUBLIC DISPLAY for the whole world to see Jesus Christ demonstrating ALL HIS PATIENCE, for a "PATTERN" that will be repeated over, and over, and over again billions and billions of times for all those that Christ will likewise bring to repentance at any second He so desires!!!

Here’s the lesson: If Jesus Christ can bring to repentance, and convert, and save the WORLD’S WORST SINNER THAT HAS EVER LIVED in about 30 seconds, then that drunken cussing uncle of yours (the one you believe is going to hell for all eternity), is NO MATCH FOR THE CONVERTING POWER OF JESUS CHRIST! And ALL OF THE LESSER SINNERS of the world also are no match for the converting, saving power of Jesus Christ. Once the Giant of all sinners has been conquered, converting the sinning MIDGETS will be an easy task!

Has no one ever considered what would happen if God were to strike down Hitler with a BLINDING LIGHT FROM HEAVEN? Do you really think he would shake his fist toward heaven in total human defiance? Well, if you do, you think as a fool! Paul despised the Church of the Loving God. He hated it with ever fiber of his being. He went to great length and personal hardship to seek out and TORTURE the Saints of God. But when God struck him down with a blinding light from heaven, Paul "trembled" (Greek, tremo, dreadful and terrifying FEAR), and was "astonished" (Greek: thambeo, to stupefy, astound, amaze, astonish), and melted like jelly in the noonday SUN!

And some would suppose that Hitler or any LESSER sinner would do otherwise? Well, God didn’t strike down Hitler with a blinding light from heaven, but guess what? HE WILL YET DO IT! And when He does, Hitler will sob like a babbling idiot! He will violently shake and tremble in UTTER DESPAIR AND TERROR, and he will REPENT, make no mistake about it! OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE! God has ways to MAKE carnal-minded, God-defying men and women VOLUNTEER real fast!

I am wearied by the countless times people have told me: "God will NEVER make anyone do anything against their own free will." Oh, really? Show me the Scripture. Show me the SCRIPTURE!! Are any so STUPID as to believe that on the very day that Paul was on his way to Damascus to persecute and torture the Saints of Jesus Christ with nothing else on his mind, but he paused for a moment in the middle of the road and thought to himself, "You know, I think that I will not go to Damascus today and persecute Christians. I believe that I will right now exercise my ‘free will’ and repent of all these sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ Whom I have been persecuting. Yes, I think I will do that right now, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE." Is THAT what the Word of God says? IS IT? Or rather did not Christ MAKE His will PAUL’S WILL in mere SECONDS?

So many ignorant people just do not see that they are BLASPHEMING the very name, nature, and character (LOVE) of God by their demeaning and hate-filled accusations about what God can and cannot do! God went AGAINST the will of Paul (Saul), and God MADE His will PAUL’S WILL in a matter of SECONDS. But Christendom teaches that God doesn’t do such things. It just isn’t right. It just isn’t God’s way. WELL, YES, IT IS RIGHT, AND IT IS GOD’S WAY, AND HE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL ALL HUMANITY IS SAVED!

And so we learn that God converted the world’s worst sinner in a matter of seconds. We learned that The Father inspired Jesus to pray: "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." We also learned that the "them" in this prayer includes the whole world, for the Scriptures plainly tell us that it is the whole world that is accountable for Christ’s Crucifixion, even though it was performed by the express foreordained will of the Father.

Thanks M.G.

Yeah, I now remember in Lake of Fire series chapter 3 and 6. Those are scriptural and inspire. Sometimes in chapter 16D3 discourage me because something Ray said "we must" pluck our eye and cut off our body something that sin against God. Either we destroy our soul or God will destroy our souls for us in 16D3. Can we do it on our own, pluck out our body which is sin against God and destroy our soul? I don't know why Ray mentioned this unless anyone know why and explain this?

I still have battle with my anger and lust, I have been trying not to but didn't stop me. I thought God knew I cannot do it on my own, it is God's strength who can overcome for me in His timetable. I don't think we should be lazy spiritual, you know? We still have struggle of our problem sin, don't we? Or is anyone (include elect) who have anger and lust disappeared for good? Just wonder. I wish I have ;D.

I'm pretty sure we all still struggle in areas of our life Brett.

I sent Ray an email asking a similar question.

This was his reply to me, which was helpful.

I think that you are confusing "gift" with "fruit." God gives us the "gift" of faith to start the ball rolling , so to speak, but he does not at the same time gift us with "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithFULNESS, gentleness and self-control" so that we can then live a righteous and good life. We must all PRODUCE, YIELD, BRING FORTH, and BEAR much fruit. All of these terms are used in Scripture and all of them are a process of growth, they are not supernatural gifts.

God be with you,

Ray

Hi Brett,

You recognize these things, as faults, what a wonderous creator we have. First the physical, then the spiritual, First we repent [we stop physically doing them], but in some cases  this does not take the desire away.

There are things i cannot do any longer, i have no desire to do them, there are things i do not do, but still feel a desire to do them....see what i mean?

God works on each of us differently, it is a process, do what I do, Pray alot!

Peace

Thanks so much M.G. and Chris!

It is so nice to share from you. I think God does not give us overcome 100% yet, but to struggle our life problem and sometimes to make us humbleness so to prevent us from pride. I think.

Angry is not very easy for me, it effect me since I was little deaf child with hearing family, schools and friends. Not good experience because of no communication. But I do see some way to heal my angry than before but not perfect, yet :-\. And lust, sometimes I wish God didn't created sex hormone so sensitive, I didn't mean say that, but that is the reason problem is LUST. Sometimes nothing lust for long time and sometime lust come back again all of suddenly. Uuuugh! :-[  No fun! It is not about to look at pornography, no, don't misunderstood me. It is about lust in mental/mind and imaginary.

With men (mankind) this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Yes, of course, we pray with deep groan to God. It hurts but His time will come :).

I'm right there with you, Brett.
I get so frustrated at the way people drive on the highway. Somedays, I'll just pull off somewhere and have a glass of iced tea, and go to God in prayer, to "cool off."
I did not have a hearing disability, but had my own issues with others in school.
I was a slow learner, never failed any classes, but I just got by on many occasions. Lot's of the students/teachers thought I was retarded.
I just did not like school, it drove my mom crazy. All I wanted to do was hang out with my dad and ride/race motorcycles. So, I had to at least pass all of my classes to ride.

The lust deal I have problems with also.
But, you have to kill it at the first sign.
Some things I don't have a problem with, but certain visuals will bring forth emotions that I desire not. It's a constant struggle for me.

With men (mankind) this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Yes, of course, we pray with deep groan to God. It hurts but His time will come :).

As mentioned, Romans 7,  and;
Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
