Thank you Bobby,

This was a very interesting story.  I recently came to see that Jesus did not teach the doctrine of hell so I can really relate to this story.

Sincerely,

Dean

I think it is hardest for preachers to accept the truth.

Jesus did not teach the so called "doctrines of hell", but neither did he advocate "self."
It would seem that [people] go from one extreme to another - ever learning.
And never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (II Timothy 3:7).
For, they shall be lovers of their own selves.

I was told by a hell believer to watch this program.  This Carlton Pearson segment was interesting.  I had heard about his change of preaching style.  Obviously, it's infinately nicer than the hell preachers' sermon style.  I actually thought that he had gotten his new truths from scripture.  However, I learned that he had some kind of revelation from God, telling him that "hell" is actually here on earth.  True, the scriptures speak of our evil experiences here, but hell is a mistranslation and is not connected in any way to these experiences.  He also says that man kind created this "hell on earth".  Maybe he got some sort of revelation from God, but he is obviously adding things that God wouldn't say.  For instance, he says "everybody is going to heaven".  The scriptures don't say anybody is going to heaven.  Unless you consider that many people are in their own heavenly states of delusion now.  This is true.  Pearson knows no more about scripture than the hideous teachers of eternal fire.  But I'm glad God cast the lie of ET out of his brain.  He's OK in my book.
