I had read the story you posted yet reading it a second time, it dawned on me that Christ wrote this epic circumstance as related and adeptly captured by your Scripture summation.

Is it not interesting that Mystery Babylon is quick to snatch the Word of God and profess that it is prayer power that MAKES God do the good things He does. All the time is is God who writes the circumstances over which man has no control!

God changes the minds and wills of mankind around the world, a billion times a minute, through circumstances that "you know not" are actually the cause of your choices and your changed choices. We are often if not most of the time completely unaware ....

The teaching about the "power of prayer and agreement" that urges group to pray under the spell of the deception that two mortals can overturn God or manipulate, coerce or convince God to alter what He has ordained....is deceptive lies that covers the fact that God is the author of circumstance and controls everything and everyone.

God "caused" them to pray and ask. God caused them to think their prayer was answered AFTER it was spoken. We know the prayer was written by God in the first place and the responce prepared five months in advance. That God is the cause and author is the testimony of Gods Sovereignty and Love.

thanks arc and oh so true. I had a guy at work tell me if all is predestined, then our lives are totally useless and without meaning. I said nothing but it really made me feel sorry for him and the judgement he will face some day. He does not even believe God exists, let alone controls his life..............rick

Is it not so revealing that people who can not let go of believing that they have free will, simply HATE to think God is in control of EVERYTHING! They detest trusting God. They prefer to throw in the towel not knowing God is Love and God's Will will be done!

What a blind blasphemous conclusion that leads to sore correction for those who profess and believe that God made us for no reason and without meaning. That we are being made into the image of Christ that is without significance and glory is to profess blindness and deafness to the glorious message of the Gospel. Great the chastisment that will put that error straight that assumes Gods work as meaningless!

People want to be their own demigod, which cannot be controlled by anything or any one. This is the one area were all humanity can shine.
