Tithing
« on: August 23, 2007, 09:01:33 AM »

Im just wondering if there isnt anything better to do than talk about
        > how christians shouldnt tithe? If its wrong, then why is my family so
        > blessed? We've always had more than enough, even when it didnt look
        > like it would work. But, arent there still people dying and going to
        > hell everyday? Shouldnt THAT be our focus? Then, after everyone
        > accepts Christ, we can start attacking the christians for doing
        > something so terrible as tithing. Just a thought
        > Justin

Dear Justin: You, just like many before you, have accused me of telling Christians that they "shouldn't tithe." Excuse me, but just where have I ever said such a thing?  It't not true.  I wrote a paper:"Tithing is Unscriptural Under the New Covenant," but I have never said that people should not tithe.

I never said that "tithing is wrong," either. I said it is "UNSCRIPTURAL" under the New Covenant, and it is "wrong" and a "sin" to teach Christians that tithing money is a New Testament law that is binding on Believers, or they will be "cursed with a curse," and when they die, they will "go to hell." That is what I teach is wrong and a sin.

No, Justin, there are not "people dying and going to hell every day."  That's absurd pagan insanity. Teaching people that there is not eternal hellhole of torture in fire IS one of my main focuses at bible-truths.com.

It may be "a thought," Justin, but not a very good one, and certainly not Scriptural.

        God be with you,

        Ray
