Pavarotti and Sting

[LittleBear]

In memory of Luciano Pavarotti.

Here is a rendition of Panis Angelicus performed by Pavarotti and Sting:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUh1SlrtEG0

Here are the words:

Panis angelicus
Fit panis hominum
Dat panis coelicus
Figuris terminum
O res mirabilis
Manducat dominum
Pauper, pauper
Servus et humilis
Pauper, pauper
Servus et humilis

Heavenly bread
That becomes the bread for all mankind
Bread from the angelic host
That is the end of all imaginings
Oh, miraculous thing!
This body of God will nourish
Even the poorest
The most humble of servants
Even the poorest
The most humble of servants

Yes, it IS a Gregorian chant, but if you can overlook that part, you will be blessed.

Love,

Ursula

His voice had no equal!!!  When he next sings it will be for the ages.

Luciano gave much joy and tendernesss that touched  in soul areas we did not know we had. Such are  Gods gifts when shared through skills and tallents given only by our Creator.

God certainly showed what He can do through Luciano. I believe Luce means light in Italian...

Thankyou for sharing that Ursula.

Peace be to you

Good one!!!  Who'd a thunk it?

Actually, I have now watched almost all of them.  Couldn't find the one where he sings w/ the Spice Girls at a cncert to help African children.  I saw it years ago on a PBS special.
