LittleBear:
Joe, I feel for you in what you have to do, and also for your employees and their families. I will pray for all.  As you say, it is all in God's hands.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you all for the kind and empathetic replies, it truly means alot and it is comforting to know that His people are out there praying for these men and for me.

I hope to answer or comment a bit more personally to each of you very soon but there is so much going on presently, professionally and outside the workplace that my time here has been limited to just checking things out.

Your concern is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Joe

Kat:

Hi Joe,

Sorry to hear you are having to cut some of the men that have been working in your team.  I know that they are more than just employees, and you have developed relationships with them.  I know that you are feeling the stress from the situation and compassion for the families in what they will go through in this transition.  I know that God is teaching all of you through this experience, and I will be praying for all of you.

mercy, peace and love

Hi Joe,

My prayers are with you and your employees in this challenging time.  They are in good hands in Christ through you!

Patrick:
My prayers are with you, Brother.

My stomach rolled over when I read what's going on. I've been on both sides of this fence.
After having to downsize in my dept., I stepped down as manager and went back to a technician. Two months later, there was another downsize, and I was escorted out the door by the guy I recommended for my mgr position. He was given the task, because everyone else was scared I might cause a stink. I actually laughed and felt great, cus I really disliked the job.
I was not prepared for what was about to happen. People say when one door closes, another opens. I truly believe that, but I lost everything before that other door opened. I know why, now, but I was really angry with God during that time.
I feel your pain, Joe. And, I pray anything they/you go through is what they/you need to experience as part of their/your journey through His plan for them/you and their/your ultimate destiny.
