Dance With God
jER:
When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. Then, I remembered reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music and everything is quite uncomfortable, and out of step. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back, pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully together. The dance takes a willingness to surrender, attentiveness from one person, gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i". God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that He will give me guidance. And, once again, God led.
Dance together with God trusting in Him to lead and guide you through each moment of your life.
Here is the Gratitude Dance going around the world…silly, but go ahead and try it!
It may possibly put you in the mood to dance with God, and trust in Him to lead:

May you abide in God as He, abides in you.

Hi jER,
That was lovely. Thank you. It also takes trust on the part of the one following in the dance. Beautiful romantic analogy, very intimate.

Howdy jER,
That was really good, and I saved your post and will forward it to friends and family!! You were truly inspired with that and I very much enjoyed the video clip.
Your comments about "dancing" with our heavenly Father are so appropriate and a great analogy of our spiritual walk! How cool. Plus this made me remember all the times I slow-danced with my earthly father... and this brought a tear to my eye.... what wonderful memories! I am so blessed to still have him with me; he'll be turning 91 soon.
Christ's joy 2 U!
:)

Alex - "Enthusiasm not only helps us reach for a better understanding, it makes our journey a lot more enjoyable along the way."
Ursula - these are your words from a previous post, and my prayer:
"We are growing here not just in knowledge, but in how we relate to each other."
Janice - "It's all about Family."
Your friend in Christ,
JER
