So, if ancient Israel, historic Israel, and today's State of Israel, was not and is not, "above all nations of the earth," then who is above all? America is!
It is good to see this quote from Ray again. So when are you coming to South Africa :D ;D only kidding. I know God is in control of the Nations and where we are all living. My husband really enjoys Miami and yes not to trivialise what you have said, indeed the scriptures have many layers. For me Gods Word is multi dimensional that in summation is one Truth.
You ask : when the scriptures speak of Israel in prophecy, do these scriptures speak about the democracies of America and Europe?
One thing I am pretty sure of, is that man's inhumanity to man will be revealed such as never seen before in the unveiling of the beast. Then Christ will come again and will shorten those days for the sake of the Elect.
How this will occur I do not know. Sufficient is the evil of the day and I pray for endurance and blessing to escape what will come upon the world.
I see your point I think, about what you find so fascinating to contemplate about Paul saying "For they are NOT all Israel, which are Israel." do you think this is a witness to the fact that many are called and few are chosen. Many are the children of the slave woman and few of the promise?
You are so right and I appreciate your observation that : we need to look no further than our own back yard to see such prophecy come to pass.
I with my precious family living here in this part of the world, do see apostasy and wickedness on unprecedented levels happening right before our eyes. For comfort your words remind me that this is prophecy coming TO PASS. This is times of testing faith and proving endurance found only in HIM.

I can see the beginning of the end of those who would preach the demonic eternal torment doctrine as they provide a get out of hell card for the low, low, price of a weekly 10% "donation" made to them!
This insidious dual message as well as the sickening, carnal "prosperity preaching" that knows nothing of gaining spiritual treasure above but only temporal earthly treasure that appeals to the base, natural man. The people are not guiltless in this either, even though it is the preachers (shepherds) that commit the greater sin the followers (sheep) are also complicit as they want to believe it is their own decisions and works that "save" them even though these "works" rarely include searching the Word of God on their own, seeking that One on one relationship with Christ in us.
About one third of all so called charitable donations $97,000,000,000 (that's right 97 billion) are made to churches each year in America, how much of that is motivated by this extortion or message that to stay out of eternal torture you must pay real dollars, once this wickedness truly comes to light (it is slowly being revealed) the whole house of cards will come tumbling down.
Even though Jesus taught that we are not to be of this world we see churches of every denomination allign themselves with this or that political institution, whether liberal or conservative, pro war hawk or peaceful dove these "shepherds" bring the world to the flock to promote whatever the world's flavor of the day is, or endorse some candidate or another that agrees with their world view, this focus on worldly things does not please God, especially from those that are preaching and teaching in His name.
Jer 29:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

I think the handwriting is on the wall, but only for those who have eyes to see.

thanks for the web link to the article on tithing in the wall street journal joe. all i can say is thank God that He has shown us the truth about tithing. the section quoting the one lady who used to be a member of hagee's house of harlots made me so angry (again) at how hagee and his cohorts are deceiving sooooooooo many people. but then again i am caused to remember that even john hagee is part of God's plan. anyway, thanks for the link. it blows me away that $97billion was received in "tithing". also had to laugh outloud after reading the quote from the one fella who said if people only started giving 2.5% rather than 10% how would they pay the electric bill, etc. echoes statements from ray's tithing paper about how paul and the other apostles actually had jobs outside of their teaching the gospel. the more i read from the article, the more i truly understood how the things ray has been shown by God are indeed coming to pass.
