Slept Right Through It
« on: December 16, 2007, 01:55:36 PM »

Early this morning I heard the sweet sound of a long awaited rain, it was comforting and lulled me into peacefully sleeping in, little did I know the same weather conditions that brought the rain so desperately needed also brought destruction to others around me.

I think I might see a parable and have another insight here;

Land O' Lakes is about 20 miles due north of where I live.

Wow Joe

That  reminds me of the thread I posted some time back. I had been inspired to know that the voice of the Spirit is a quiet voice and was sitting in my garden when the wind came up suddenly and that quiet voice spoke with me. I had actually received a PM from you that triggered me to go and speak with the Lord and this wonderful experience followed. I noted the experience in the Forum. The next day I learnt that a tsunami had hit the coast lines and the follow up wind may have well been what suddenly roared through the garden as I sat there listening! I do not know if you recall.

Peace to you

Arcturus :)

Hello Joe--
Okay, I'll bite...what's the parable and what's the insight? I read the article and thought...amazing timing.....its a miracle all those women were not killed!  I remember the wonderful rain storms in the Tampa Bay area from years ago...but I don't get the connection? ???

Hi Joyce,

When I read this I thought of the fire that did not harm Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, neither did it even put the aroma of smoke on their clothes. I thought of the next age as God's consuming fire would affect those in Judgment and how the elect will be passing it through it (like the wind) and quite unharmed.

Please don't think I am presumptuously saying (or thinking) I am counting myself among the elect, I only wanted to share my thought that the same Force that is destruction for many (for a time) is the Source of great joy and peace for a few (soon to be all!).

Here is the type/shadow that came to mind;

Daniel 3

20And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

21Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

22Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

23And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

24Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

25He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

27And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

His Peace and Wisdom to you,

Joe

 :) oh!
okay!
I was just stumped because the female prisoners were SAVED at the last second and placed in another facility before the tornado hit...

but I still get your point now...and oh how we reach out for that understanding when we are near death, how we stretch in the spirit to touch the face of God and hear from Him ....His WORD! No atheists in foxholes, or prisons when there's a tornado bearing down! right?

peace

Joe

It is extraordinary, miraculous, that while reading LOF 2 again I find a quote that builds, confirms and brings witness to what you observe when you stated quote : the same Force that is destruction for many (for a time) is the Source of great joy and peace for a few (soon to be all!).

I have been guided to contemplate this very insight over the past few days. Here is the trigger quote written by Ray Smith found in LOF 2 quote : Judgement has both a positive and a negative side. That is judgment itself CONTAINS BOTH. (Caps mine to present emphasis)

Like the tree of good and evil has the same root. And God does not change! We have to and are being made to via circumstances and the Will of God!

Peace to you brother

Amazing that Joe had spoken with you Arcturus and then the Graden event transpired; Joe, maybe you could rub alittle of that off that peace that passes all understanding over in this direction ;) ;D

What are the odds, aye? That has got to be more than 'dumb-luck'. Unless of course you're Atheist, who doesn't believe in God, or Christian
who believes in a god that isn't in control-and while he may have wanted those prisoners to leave that building knowing what will soon happen to it, he couldn't interfere with their free-will and "cause" them to leave-or be escorted out of there by the prison guards.

I am amazed how Christians can't notice things like this, and see the flaws in their doctrines.

Hi Joyce,

Yes! You know as the winds were picking up and the tornado became visable the anxiety, fear and stress was accelerating probably as fast as the the air was swirling, God became very real to many as the pleading prayers were being thought or spoken. All of this was going on as I was slightly aware of a peaceful rain and light breeze that lulled me back to a comfortable, restful sleep.

As bad as it may have been to experience the anxiety, imagine the relief when they all were brought to safety, joyful may be an appropriate word, don't you agree?

His Peace and Wisdom to you,

Joe

Hey ya Canada Joyce, good to hear from you again too!  The LORD has had me detoured from the forum for a season, so I try to get here as often as I can nowadays; I just love each and everyone of you here and I don't get to tell all of you that, so for that I am sorry, but, I really do miss all of you here; you are, my family and we are unified in HIS SPIRIT!!!.  How are you?  How's the weather up there so far?  (No TORNADO'S LIKE JOE SLEPT THROUGH,  OR BLIZZARDS IN YOUR CASE, I HOPE?) ;) ;D :o
