Like the most of you I had to endure and listen to the nauseating diatribe that the church spews out at Christmas time while they imbibe in the carnal. Even though we at BT may not be into "Christmas" ....I started to think about the scriptures say about the events .
(Luk 2:14 CLV)
Glory to God among the Highest! And on earth peace, Among men, delight!"
I have looked at various transltions and this was the closest to the original Greek I really like it because it sound like a 'Ta dah' moment for God....Look world ...here is My begotten Son.
When I read Mary's response to the angel I can see that this magnificat will be sung by each of the elect......since God 's spirit lives in the elect and during their life they were conformed to the image of Christ. The elect too are born again of spirit.
(Luk 1:46 REV) And Mary said-My soul doth magnify the Lord, (It is all His doing)
(Luk 1:47 REV) And my spirit hath exulted upon God my saviour; (He is the One who dragged us out)
(Luk 1:48 REV) Because he hath looked upon the humbling of his handmaid; for lo! fromthe present time, all the generations, will pronounce me happy.
(the few will serve the many and they will be be amazed that God has chosen such a motley group of people to exalt)
(Luk 1:49 REV) Because he that is mighty hath done for me great things, and, holy, is his name;
(God'dsplan is so much bigger that Babylonean church ever imagined)
(Luk 1:50 REV) And his mercy is unto generations and generations, to them who revere him;
They too will be brought back to the shepards fold
(Luk 1:51 REV) He hath wrought strength with his arm, He hath scattered men arrogant in the intention of their heart;
Ecc 1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
(Luk 1:52 REV) He hath deposed potentates from thrones, and uplifted the lowly;
Isa 57:15 For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."
(Luk 1:53 REV) The hungry, hath he filled with good things, and, the wealthy, hath he sent empty away;
Psa 107:9 For He satisfied the thirst of the unappeased soul, And the famished soul He filled with good."
(Luk 1:54 REV) He hath laid hold of Israel his servant, to be mindful of mercies:
Isa 49:3 And said to me My Servant, thou art,-Israel, in whom I will get myself glory
(Luk 1:55 REV) According as he spake unto our fathers,-To Abraham, and to his seed,-Unto times age-abiding.
Psa 112:2 Mighty in the earth, shall be his seed, The generation of the upright, shall be blessed;
Gen 12:1 And Yahweh said unto Abram: Come thou on thy way, Out of thy land and out of the place of thy birth and out of the house of thy father,-Unto the land that I will show thee;
Now look at who God brought to investigate the event...it shows ua that Daniel loyalty to God left his mark and his belief was passed down to that generations seers in the East. They believed and searched it out
(Mat 2:1 KJVR) Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
(Mat 2:2 KJVR) Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.
Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
And isn't it interesting that the only ones actually directly told about the coming of the Messaiah (besides Mary and Joesph) were the lowest in that society...it is obvious that no one listened to them when they told the world at that time also. No one will listen to us here on earth right now either
(Luk 2:8 KJVR) And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
(Luk 2:9 KJVR) And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
(Luk 2:10 KJVR) And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
(Luk 2:11 KJVR) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
(Luk 2:12 KJVR) And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
(Luk 2:13 KJVR) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
(Luk 2:14 KJVR) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
(Luk 2:15 KJVR) And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
(Luk 2:16 KJVR) And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
(Luk 2:17 KJVR) And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
(Luk 2:18 KJVR) And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
(Luk 2:19 KJVR) But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
(Luk 2:20 KJVR) And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
The overcomers in the first ressuretion will be priests (shepards) and kings and they will
G4165 rule ποιμαίνω poimainō poy-mah'ee-no From G4166; to tend as a shepherd (or figuratively superviser): - feed (cattle), rule.

(Mat 1:1 KJVR) The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
(Mat 1:17 KJVR) So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
This talks about 42 generations but are there 42? Ray tell us that we have to pay attention to the words ...so lets count them

Mathew says there were 42 generations. When Jesus came into the world it signified a new epoch in the plan of God
"By the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established."
"No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."
The Sons of God are all numbered! . "He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names." (Psalm 147:4) the stars that God is interested in enough to name and number are the stars referred to in Daniel 12:3 and Rev. 1:20. The Sons of God that shall turn many to righteousness, and shall be found in His right hand at His coming!
The 42nd generation are the overcomer of Rev 21:7. It is that company of people spoken of by Isa. 8:18 and Heb. 2:13 as "the children God hath given me." It is those referred to in Rom. 8:29 as being conformed to His image. This is the generation of Jesus Christ, an elect company, an "ecclesia"called out of all ages and all generations, those who are the true seed of Abraham, who are "joint heirs with Christ," who rule and reign with Him
The 53rd chapter of Isaiah is a precious messianic prophecy referring to our lovely Savior some 700 years before His birth.
"He was taken from prison and from judgment: and WHO SHALL DECLARE HIS GENERATION? for He was cut off out of the land of the living: for thetransgression of my people was He stricken. And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him, He hath put Him to grief, when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, HE SHALL SEE HIS SEED, HE SHALL PROLONG HIS DAYS, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand." accounted to the Lord "for a generation.
Psalm 22:30-31. This is a messianic Psalm, and it speaks of Christ .
''A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for A GENERATION. They shall come, and shall DECLARE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this."
The Apostle Peter saw it, and writes in I Peter 2:9 . . . "BUT YE ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light "whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the
firstborn among MANY BRETHREN." (Rom. 8:29)
Isa. 43:5-7 .
"Fear not, for I am with thee: I will bring THY SEED from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back; BRING MY SONS FROM FAR, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even everyone that is called BY MY NAME: for I HAVE CREATED HIMFOR MY GLORY' I have formed him, yea, I have made him."
Psalm 22:22 "I will declare thy name UNTO MY BRETHREN: IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION will I praise thee."
New Testament shows the Holy Ghost quoting from these scriptures in Hebrews 2:12, showing them to be the words of our Lord propheticallyspoken in the Psalms: "Saying, I will declare thy name UNTO MY BRETHREN, in the MIDST OF THE CHURCH will I sing praise unto thee."
Romans 8:29 states that Jesus is the "Firstborn among many brethren. Those "brethren" are also known as "Sons of God," "the elect," "the overcomers," "the manchild,"
HE THAT OVERCOMETH shall inherit all things; and I will be HIS GOD, and HE SHALL BE MY SON."
So should we ignore the celebration of Christmas......I think not .............we should be shouting
Beloved
