    Dear Cobie:  Well of course, God did not have to do it this way. But the

    best answer I can give you is that where there is little pain there is little gain.

    It's a matter of contrast. Adam and Eve had no idea how good they had it in the

    garden until they lost it.  Jesus did not need to die for us. God sacrificed His Son

    for us to show us how much He loves us, not because He was forced to do so.
