Bradigans,
The Mormons are like all the other religious systems and only want to bind you to their system. My best advice is to only trust JESUS, THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD, THE SAVIOR OF THE WHOLE WORLD. All man made church systems derive their doctrines from man and the traditions of man. Only CHRIST is divine, holy and without fault. We all need only HIM, no church, no other teacher, no man-made system, just JESUS.
In HIM,
Phil3:10

Amen and thanks dear brother for putting me in remembrance...

Hi! Bradigans

It's me yet again. If they keep bothering you do as I did. They left two books one the KJV and the other their own version so they must have done the same with you. I just wrapped them up neatly and posted them back to their church with a note in large block letters reminding them of the consequence of meddling with the Word of God:- "I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book."" (Rev.22:18,19).

It cost a fortune in postage, brother, but it was worth it not to see them again.

God bless.

Love in Christ Jesus.

Roy.

Amen! This verse in Revelations was the same verse i had given them earlier when they first started visiting. They made the statement that noone can understand the Revelations at this point. If you've got THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, and at His timing, i thought.

 - John 16:13 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

They say it contains events in regard to THE HOLY SPIRIT'S dealings in the America's simultaneous to IT'S (THE HOLY SPIRIT'S) dealings in the holy lands. They say its an accurate recording of events that transpire roughly from 600 B.C. to 420 A.D. in the America's. It was rediscovered by a Joseph Smith in the 1820's.

They do have the entire history of America in their book but it seems that not one single word can be proved through archaelogy. The maps they include have not one iota of familiar landmarks. They mention wars in America and not one single spear/chariot/artifact has ever been found -- unlike the Holy Land which has an abundance of archaelogy that agrees with the Bible.

Their main building in NY state is supposedly built on the site of some major battle yet they conveniently refuse to let any archeological research take place there.

AND -- Joseph Smith found those tablets less than two hundred years ago -- where ARE THEY??? Two hundred years is nothing in archaelogical time and you'd think these tablets would be rather important to them.

I don't think you should be communing with these folks unless as Kitt said you are very, very strong and founded in your belief -- and even then -- why are you. You cannot open their eyes. You have given them your testimony and if it had been strong enough they would not have invited you to their houses.

Their Book of Mormons is a book of a history of America that does not agree with any maps, archaelogy, or research. It's bunk.

Don't meet with them as a group. If one of them comes to you personally to hear your testimony then praise God. But you cannot open their eyes, you can't open their ears. They are under God's strong delusion and nothing you can do will change that. I'm a little worried about the way you are "flirting" with them.

You should not "dabble" for any historical perspective. It is bunk.

I hope I'm being firm enough, Bradigans. We will all certainly pray for you. I agree with Kitt that they are seeing some sort of weakness in you and I can see it in your first post. Run.

Carol

Thanks. This is probably what i needed to hear. I'm going to cut them off, because they're starting to get emotional ties to me. It's so true. I listen wholeheartedly to them, but when i come with THE WORD, it seems like it completely bounces off of them. I'm not certain whether its (THE WORD) is being sowed or not. But, at this point, i think its' time for me to cut them off, because i'm getting to the point where i don't want to hurt their feelings. They're so nice...

Thanks everyone for your comments. They had me testify at their church last sunday. Of course i'm with THE WORD. And that's where i hit them; not with the book of mormon, but with THE BIBLE. THE SPIRIT i felt was really on me. i believe i may have sparked an interest in some of them to further seek the truths of the bible. Some of them have been really coming over to my house now, and inviting me to their houses. Keep me in your prayers, because i only want to magnify HIM, and keep myself out of it.

 - John 12:32 - And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Hi! Brother Bradigans.

They can smell some weakness in you my brother and will not let go. Get rid of them, tell them you like your dust and to please make sure they dust it off their feet before the leave, WITH THEIR JOSEPH SMITH BIBLE JUNK. Don't play Russian roulette with your life:

"For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s shall save it. 36For what doth it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? 37For what should a man give in exchange for his life?" (Jn.8:35-37).

Watch your step brother, watch your step!

God bless.

Love in Christ Jesus.

i think i've heard the last of them. They haven't called today like they usually do. I suppose it's because of the article's i gave them yesterday. I shared THE ONE COVENANT article above i gave to them. Here's the other article i shared with them IS GROWTH A SIGN OF GODLINESS. I don't think i'll hear from them again because in it they were listed as one of the fastest growing cults. A friend sent it to me to help me out. i figured i'll share it here. Here it is as follows:

Is Growth a Sign of Godliness?
Many Christians today believe wholeheartedly that material growth is a sure sign of godliness and proof of God’s approval. They incorrectly reason that bigger means better, that bigger buildings and bigger budgets, more attendance, etc., all prove that God is working and doing something very special in their midst or in the midst of the “Joneses” that they often compare themselves to.
But those who believe this fail to come to grips with the simple fact that all kinds of cults and ungodly groups are growing. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are growing. The Mormons are growing and have bigger and bigger budgets and more people attending all the time. As a matter of fact, the false Mormon Church spends about half a BILLION dollars a year advertising their “peaceful” “compassionate” sounding messages on TV and offering their cult literature such as the Book of Mormon free of charge.
In order to justify what they are doing (their agendas, etc.), countless professing Christian pastors cry, “Look how many people are hooked up, plugged in and involved at our church.” I can’t tell you how many times I have heard things like, “We have gone from 70 to 800 members, from meeting in a rented room to owning our own building, from $100,000 a year budget to $1,000,000 and growing. Surely this is proof positive that we are teaching correctly, living godly and on-track with God.”
Really?
When did Jesus ever say that you shall know them by their growth? Didn’t He say that you shall know them by their fruit? (See Matt 7: 16-20, Luke 6: 43-44.) There is a big difference between fruit and growth.
Pornographers and drug dealers “grow” and make money, all kinds of money. Why is it that most Christians easily recognize these kinds of things outside the Church yet cannot see with the same clarity inside the churches?
It gets worse.
The Bible says:
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1Tim 6:5-6
Other translations renders this as “supposing that godliness is a means to get gain”. Either rendering is fine as both basically say the same thing in one way or another. That’s because those who think that godliness is a means to get financial gain will naturally think that gain is a sign of godliness. The two go together hand in hand.
But here’s the kicker: We are commanded to stay away from professing Christians who believe this nonsense. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why. This “gain is godliness” teaching is one of the most dangerous life-changing errors of the false church system. This is an incredibly fast working leaven. It quickly infects and puffs up those that it touches. Many have been caught and corrupted by this lie and corruption is sometimes almost instantaneous.
An even scarier thing is the fact that a large number of professing Christians are caught in this mess. Do you think that most of the other professing Christians who are not caught in this problem obey even this simple command to stay away from those who are? Unfortunately the vast majority do not. The false ecumenical spirit drives many to wallow in error. Misery truly seems to love company.
If most Christians would just obey this one simple Bible verse, it would clear out and close the doors of a huge number of false churches. This is because this false belief is often one of the main hallmarks of the average false church.
Allow me to leave you with this picture (from my short article - "It Wants You", formerly titled, "Beware of the Blob"):
The blob is growing. It is oozing under doorways and slithering around corners. It is coming up through drainpipes and creeping in through cracks and crevices. It is on a mission determined to assimilate all who it touches. It feeds on and has absorbed millions upon millions of professing Christians and is growing to enormous size.
This isn’t the fictional fairytale blob of the movies, the Hollywood horror film monster that inflicts immediate discernable suffering upon all who it touches. This blob actually feels good to its victims and offers all kinds of seeming benefits. Those caught in its drug-like hold actually want to be there. The thing is: the blob wants you and wants you really bad. Each soul that the blob absorbs increases its size, wealth and motive power to assimilate more unwary souls. But you can remain free of its grip by studying and obeying the Bible.
Simple commons sense proves that just because something grows doesn’t necessarily mean that it is good. Weeds grow. Cancers grow. Viruses, diseases and epidemics grow. The blob grows. Did you know that some “churches” have actually titled certain men Assimilation Pastors? Pretty scary wouldn’t you say? Real life is truly stranger than fiction.

Hi! Bradigans

I'm really pleased brother that you have eventually got rid of those parasites. Did you know that parasites also grow and feed on humans who show the slightest sign of weakness?

God Bless You Brother and I pray you'll grow into a giant. A giant not of this greed orientated world but of our loving God whose rewards that make the riches of the world pale into insignificance.

God Bless you.

Love in Christ Jesus
