LOL! That's a good idea. As a matter of fact they were 'delayed' a bit. Today, while looking for something else I came across a website with quotes. According to one of the quotes, Jesus didn't really say It is finished, the Greek means, fully paid! If this is true it's a very strong witness to the fact that it was paid, in full! Then I guess any theologian is cornered. 'It is finished' is a lot easier to explain away than the simple 'It is paid in full'.
