Martinez:
Hi there!

My understanding of this is that you're sins are only a sign post that point to the condition of you're heart.
That doesn't mean that if you haven't killed 10 children and worn their heads as hats that you're any better than the guy who did, it just means you were not put into the right circumstance by God where you would do that.

So are you any better off than the guy that did do that at lake of fire time?
Not necessarily, it all depends on the condition of you're heart, which is why those who did things worthy of many stripes but didn't know will be beaten with few stripes, but those who did things worthy of few stripes and knew what they were doing will be beaten with many stripes, because what the world views as despicable and what God views as despicable are two different things.

Craig,

Then what does this mean:

"IF we CONFESS our SINS, He is faithful and just to FORGIVE us our sins"?

Also, if you die physically before you come to a place that you no longer DESIRE the sexy curves of a women, then you are going to the LOF?

If this be the case, then the first resurrection is going to be void of people.

Cheers,
Jeremy

I suspect very few.  Few are chosen.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (New International Version)

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

That would about cover everyone.  As Jesus taught, maybe we don't outwardly perform these sins but if they are in our heart then we are guilty.  Look, nobody can conquer these sins on their own, but God knows who they elect are and will bring them through the fire and trials of this life and bring them out cleansed for the age to come.

--- Quote ---"IF we CONFESS our SINS, He is faithful and just to FORGIVE us our sins"?
--- End quote ---

I believe this is a true statement and I was not as clear as I should have been with my post.  Our sins have already been paid, when we accept responsibility for our sin then we can be forgiven, but it is our desires as much as the sin that will keep us out of the kingdom.  Judgment is what cleanses us of our desires and sinful nature.

My opinion

Craig
