Heard on TV last night; we have some members that live in that region.
Anyone know where this is? ;D

Hi Patrick,

Sure do, it is the Panhandle region of North Florida stretching from Pensacola to Panama City, white sugar sand beaches and beautiful aqua/turquoise colored water. It may also apply to the Gulf coast areas of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.

You were within 100 miles or so when I saw you at the Bike Races in Gainesville.

Peace,

Joe

I really LOVE the redneck riviera-- it really is the most beautiful place to go....I've been several times (when I lived in Florida)-- 2 problems:

1-- they have to keep refurbishing the towns along this area because it is soo venerable to hurricanes
2-- lots of fast moving water nearby which means lots of sharks --eek! you know of course that the Great White HAS indeed been found to frequent the Gulf of Mexico--whereas in years past we didn't think the water was deep enough for that to happen, right?

but I'd go in a heart beat today if I could...the sand is wonderful, the beaches very wide and quiet (in places)
lower prices for food and hotels, beautiful water! :)

in case anyone was wondering...
Joyce :)

This person was specific; Mobile, AL. ;D
Seeing as I may never get to visit the French Riviera, I can say I've been to the Redneck Riviera. :D
