Hi Roy,

Too big a topic for me to answer!  ;)

But the following is one of the wisest statements ever made.

Pro 9:8  Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Peace,

Joe

Hi! Joe

Thanks for your response but why is it too big a topic are not wisdom and prudence much desired virtues? There has to be an answer somewhere. There is only One Person who meets the criteria and that is Jesus Christ. This is just my opinion, but I'm searching for the truth of it.

Pro.9:8 is undoubtedly a very wise statement but does it apply here?

God bless you brother in our joint walk in Christ.

http://   Hi Roy,   i believe Solomon was the author of Proverbs...and the key word in the whole book is ==wisdom==  chapters 1-9 are designed to create a `felt` need for wisdom.. Chapters 8 & 9 are the proverbs ( which means ^for words^) written by Solomon (the pinnacle of Israel's  wise men) who is conveying words of wisdom,  for the youth//please  notice  the "my son"  which Solomon uses to introduces the concept of a father's ( otherwise  teacher ) efforts to persuade his son (otherwise student or pupil ) to pursue paths of wisdom in every part of his life dealings ....hope this helps.....   Rose   oh  *8-9*  are  Height of Praise to Wisdom

hi again Roy,,, i forgot previous post to point out that    beginning with chapter 8 Does not wisdom cry out and understanding lift up her voice  and verse 12 the "I"    is wisdom... so in an odd way... wisdom is doing the speaking...  now we know that Solomon prayed to "GOD" for wisdom,, right?  and so where does wisdom come from?    and what is the beginning of wisdom...the fear of the Lord, God..again i hope this helps.. look forward to your take on this...Rose
