Please pray for my husband!!!!

 :( :-\    To all my sisters and brothers in Christ;

   I want to ask all of you to please pray for Samson. My dear loving husband  is going through a trying time with one of his ex-wife's and daughter. We do not have alot, but what we do have is because we save for it. His daughter Shannon always seems to think her father can and will buy her everything she asks. He will buy for her sometimes with in reason, and he tells her so. My husband pays his child support and tries to see her at least once a month since she lives over 4 hours away.
  Samson has tried several times to explain this to his daughter, but since she is 13 this is a concept beyond her thinking. Her mother goes to a streamline church and doesn't believe the way we do. Her belief is everyone has free will, and will go to hell and if things isn't done exactly her way then the devil did influence the situation. The woman doesn't work and expects Samson to come there more and give more then what he can. She has told him many times in my presence that Jesus will find her the perfect job, and Jesus will help her pay rent and everything else she needs.
  I am trying my best to help him but sometimes he needs alot more then I can give. The woman has even gone to lenghts has to email him a very negative email and threaten him with a restraining order. This all started because Samson wouldn't give his daughter $60 for a bible on top of bringing her sister and a friend to see her and take them to an amusement park. Plus, I guess it didn't help that against my husband's wishes I called and tried to help make amends. I know now that it was futile but all I wanted to do was help my husband, and all I did was make the situation worse. So, What I really am asking for is alot of prayers for him to help find peace with in himself during these very trying times with his daughter and her mother.

Hi There FreckleGirl,
I hear your anguish, and I will certainly pray for Samson and Your whole family!
Allot of families are experiencing similar strife.  Shannon sounds very normal for her age.  Most teenagers are only aware of their needs, and are unable to see the Bigger picture.  They need to be validated in creative ways that don't involve possesions or money.  Mistakenly they interpret No you can't have that,...as I don't Love or Value You.
 
And then there is the brave one that tries to be a hero and stop the insanity, only to find you can't use reason with irrational people.  And that person that meant good, ends up the "Bad Guy"!  In my experience the more I try to resist people like this, (in the natural) the greater their power seems to becomes. 

But when on those very rare occasions when I remember...that we are to pray for our enemies....and Bless them that wrongfully persecute us.   (I am pretty sure this applies with ex-wives ;))  ...eventually that stronghold comes down.     

Stay Strong in the Lord, he will be your Hero!

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?"  (Rom.8:28-31).
