Hi Eileen,

Ditto my Sister!  If you ever watched the "Anne of Green Gables" series she has a memorable saying "Kindred Spirit"!  I've had that feeling about you! ;D  ;D

You see, Again!  I did watch the series Ann of Green Gables with Meghan Follows (I think was her name).

I grew up listening to a variety of music. I mainly listened to disco/pop music in the 70's - ABBA, Donna Summer, etc.
In the 80's I listened to New Wave - Howard Jones, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Psychedelic Furs, Dead or Alive, etc.
In the 90's I listened to lots of Eurodance (many artists).
Now I still like the stuff from years ago, but I've lately added Def Leppard to my list of artists I like. Oh and thanks to my husband, I also like some Rush.

In the words of ABBA:
So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing
Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be, without a song or a dance, what are we
So I say, thank you for the music, for giving it to me.

Indian sitar music.  Hmmm, now that's interesting.  I can't say I've ever heard that.

Eileen

Hi Eileen. The Sitar is one of the most beautiful sounding instruments ever invented when played by a master player. Probably the most respected around the world is Ravi Shankar. Its one of the few instruments in the world that can be played unaccompanied and invoke wonderful emotions.

Example of the kind of Rock I like:

I listened.  It kinda has a 60's sound to it, like Dave Clark 5, Hermans hermits, turtles.  You know?

I haven't heard any of those bands (except the Turtles and that one song of theirs.) This is 1966.

I listened to that.  My son was sitting next to me and asked why I was listening to that.....He dates an Indian girl (against her parents wishes).  Go figure.

This song reminded me of Christianity because of the lyric "feel my soul beginning to rise now" (what an awesome lyric  :)):

;D  I like all kinds of music. I listen to a variety of music depends on my mood at the time. My all time favorite singer would have to be Billie Holiday her voice is so rich and has a sound that I have not heard any other voices.
