I couldn;t find it in scriptures (at least not with my King James concordance). It might be one of those phrases that sounds like scripture...a lot of Shakespeare quotes are like that). Run a Google search on the phrase and see what pops up?
What Ray seems to be saying, from my perspective, is that one ought not to be making rash and overly bold statements without adequate evidence. Kinda like me, sometimes. If ANGELS are scared to do something, then mere mortals ought to think twice...you reckon?

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

Patrick:
--- Quote from: L. Ray Smith ---you are despising the very Word of God, and you need to be a little more careful about jumping in "where angels fear to tread."
--- End quote ---
